KEEN Torino Lace Shoe - Men's - 2008 BCS

My first pair of Keen shoes. They are great.
Even some tough 'work horses' look good, so does this Keen Torino shoes. I bought them for work where I usually walk in and get sprayed by water. They are made of waterproof leather and the sole is sewn on too for durability. It's amazing how comfortable they are, it feels like a promenade on a sandy beach barefoot.

I really like my torinos. I've had them for about a month, and they may be the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. This is my fifth pair of Keen's, and the torinos are a little different from the others in good and maybe not so good ways. For ex, I bought them from Backcountry, and the first pair arrived defective (some of the sewing over the forefoot had torn out). They shipped me out a new pair no prob, which was great, but when that pair arrived they had clearly been slightly worn already. I didn't want to send another pair back so just accepted them... oh well (a little test drive couldn't have hurt them too badly).

I love that they're really lightweight and feel great to walk around in. The sole is not as hearty as most other Keen soles, which is great for weight and flexibility, but durability is still to be determined. I can't imagine that the sole will hold up like my nearly 4 year old pair of Bronx's, but it will probably be worth it in terms of just enjoying walking around in these light, comfy shoes. They don't have quite as much arch support as my Austins or Wasatch Crest trail runners, but that's fine with me as my arches aren't too high.

They're also (as you can see in the pic) damned stylish, and look good with jeans, khaki's, cords, or whatever. And I love the red accent... nice touch. The finish is nice, consistent but the brown also takes on some subtle variations in shading, which gives them kind of a vintage look.

My only minor complaint is that the leather above my toes already shows signs of "creasing" (as leather will do when worn in), which kinda makes them look old before their time.

Overall, though, nice shoes. I like wearing them, for looks and comfort. Hope they hold up like my other Keen's.
