I have worn KEEN Presidio Shoes for many years. I've always bought Size 9, a half size larger than my normal size, because they've always run small. That is until now. The Size 9 black KEEN Presidio shoes I just purchased are too big for me to wear. I measure them against my old KEENs and they were 1/4" longer, which is enough to make them swim on my foot. I purchased the new KEENs online because I was confident that they would fit perfectly. Unfortunately, I now have to pay the cost of postage to return them. Needless to say, I am disappointed.

Just an FYI Slate Black...is not BLACK! I mistakenly ordered the slate black expecting a nice new pair of cute black shoes and instead recieved a nice new pair of brown ones. Dont get me wrong they are cute, but I need black ones not brown. So I in turn had to send back the "Slate Black" ones to exchange for "Black" ones. Screwy name choice Keen. The worst thing is that I had to pay 12.99 shipping at the UPS store to send them back, which I guess is okay because they were on sale....but still frustrating. I still love the shoes and love backcountry! :) Just a heads up for all who order!

I have a slight narrow foot. I purchase med width & put inserts or wear thick socks to adjust the width. I wore them on my vacation when I needed a comfortable pair of shoes, I used hiking socks or heavy socks to compensate These shoes look much better than tennis shoes but feel just as comfortable.

Do these shoes have removable insoles? I wear orthotics and need room for them.

Hey Lisa,

Yes they do, almost all KEEN insoles come out, especially in the casual closed up shoes.

Got these as a gift for my mother. She has a hard time finding comfortable shoes that she can stand/walk in all day. These fit the mold and she loves them. She likes the way they look and more importantly she says they are extremely comfortable. Thanks to these Keen's I was able to buy my mothers love for another year.

Got these shoes for Christmas...best decision EVER! They are sooooo, I could seriously sleep in these...not that I'd want to, but I'm trying to tell you how comfy they are! Also, they tend to run a tad small...I got a half size bigger than I usually do, and they fit wonderfully! Also, I have a very wide foot and have had problems with bunions on the past...these are GREAT!!! No pain, whatsoever...SO cOMFYYYY!!! Oh wait, did I tell you how much I love these shoes???

I LOVE this shoe! I have worn these almost daily for 2 years to work and everywhere else, and I estimate they have another year left in them. They are supreme quality in sole and leather upper, even the laces have held up! They fit and feel great, and I think I have average shaped and sized feet (9 regular). I highly recommend this shoe, and Keen in general, to anyone who will listen.

What is the heel height on these shoes?...

What is the heel height on these shoes?
KEEN Presidio Shoe - Women's
Are these shoes true to size (I need a woman's size 10).
Do they have a strong arch support?

Hello Julie,

The heel height is about an inch, they run small so if you are a 10 you may need a 10.5 or 11 and they have a medium arch. Not as strong as a Dansko, but more than Born.

Thanks, Jerry

I am a 75yr old woman, now would i look silly in these shoes, please answer truthfully? I like to dress quite modernly for my age ?

Why would you think you look silly? It's fairly subdued, yet stylish. Form follows function, Margaret, regardless of how old you are.

Write your answer here...It depends what you wear them with - I wear something very similar almost every day (the Toyah) with bootcut jeans and I think they look pretty swag, but I would not wear them with anything else. "I" am a jeans person, though....and not really into shorts or skirts.

If I had to pick one pair of shoes to wear every day, it would be these shoes. They simply do not get in the way. They are comfortable, flexible, supportive, lightweight, and cute. Living in the Northwest, I have never once had my feet get wet wearing these shoes in the rain and snow (which is saying something)! My roommate and I both own a pair and practically live in them. I have absolutely no complaints about these shoes, they are wonderful!

Yes, Keen makes these up to size 12 but it looks like Backcountry is out of stock on them. You could try the "Chat Now" function and ask when they plan to restock.

My first pair of Keen shoes. They are very comfortable for my wide feet and lightweight. They also do a very good job of keeping my feet warm and dry in the snow and slush as I run errands in the winter. My only complaint would be the rubbing on my heal upon 'breaking them in.' I had to wear a few bandaids on my heal the first few times I wore them until they didn't hurt anymore.

Keens never disappoint - comfortable and sized perfectly. Likewise Backcountry is uniformly the easiest shopping experience. Thank you for the great sales and fast free shipping!

The ad said free shipping for orders $50.00 or more, I think $89.00 is over $50.00 at least that's what I was taught.
But I was charged for regular shipping.

I do like these shoes. Have purchased several over the last few years.

This shoe is comfortable- I went up 1/2 size and that was right for the Presidio. My complaint is that it is too wide looking- in a kind of bulbous way. Clown shoes. I really wanted to like them and wish they came in a narrow. Keen- if you are listening, I think you could double your fan base if you made your shoes in narrow sizing as well.

I love these shoes. I am on my feet all day and I need good shoes. This is my second pair.
