I believe the quality is there on this shoe, it just isn't as wide in the metatarsal (toe/front of the foot) area as other KEEN shoes. I love my other 3 pair of KEEN shoes, Chiropractor-recommended!

I did get the Ochoco trail running shoe for men, although not the waterproof one. It is a great shoe, totally comfortable on and off the beaten path. The offset lacing system is very comfortable on the instep. I am a woman with a bit of a wide foot. I used the sizing chart to pick the correct one. It is a very good shoe. I highly recommend.
