Why We Like The Newport H2 Sandal
Even in a well-maintained boat sans holes, your chances of getting your feet wet are extremely good. Enter the Keen Newport H2 Sandal with a design that protects your toes and a non-marking sole to keep the deck clean. A fully synthetic upper puts hydrophobic material against your skin and keeps it dry. The Newport H2's hybrid shoe/sandal design is more comfortable than a full shoe and protects your foot better than a sandal. The unique anatomical outsole gives superb traction and support on sea and land, and an antibacterial footbed controls moisture and keeps the stank under control.

Glue lets go
I have owned several pairs of keen sandals including the Newport H2. they are very comfortable but I never got the chance to wear any of them out since the glue they use to attach the sole to the rest of the shoe always falls apart.

Poor quality. Materials seem to have changed.
I bought a new pair of leather Newport H2’s. This is actually my third pair. The first two pairs each lasted 7-8 years. This time the leather upper strap/loop that holds the bungee cord laces on the left sandal ripped after about 18 months of normal use. It appears that something has changed in the materials or manufacturing process since the sandal is now not very durable. Other than the broken strap/loop they still look brand new!

sizing suddenly changed in 2023: smaller now
The sizing of Newport H2s in size 14 got smaller in 2023. I have purchased at least fifteen pairs of Newport H2s in size 14 over the past decade or so. I wear them every day, all year round. At some point in the first half of 2023, the sizing changed, and new Newport H2s in size 14 became about a half inch shorter in length than pre-2023 Newport H2s in size 14. I thought it might have been a one-time manufacturing error that affected only one or two of the new colors, but I have tried ordering different colors of Newport H2s from different places several times since May 2023, and all of the new size 14s are about a half inch shorter than the pre-2023 pairs I still have in the house. I tried ordering a size 15 instead, but while the 2023 size 15 is now almost exactly the same length from heal to toe as the pre-2023 size 14s, the current size 15 is bigger in other dimensions than the pre-2023 size 14s, and the fit does not work for me.

Excellent product so this was my second pair as I wanted another colour.
My second pair as I wanted another colour. My old pair have been around South America Central America and both Australia and New Zealand. They are still in excellent condition and are very comfortable when wearing for long durations. Keep up the good work Keens.

Love it!
I’m a “big” fan of keen shoes, possibly because they’re one of few shoe manufacturers that offer big sizes. I wear a size 16, and there’s not a lot of choices for me. Very thankful for keen. Shoe quality is good too, I bought the Newport h2 for an upcoming trip that requires water shoes. This is my second pair of these close toed sandals, my first pair was lost. I also wear keen hiking boots for working construction, because I can’t find a work boot that I like, and they hold up well too. I do wish that the keen work boots were available in a 16 🙏 Anyway, fit is good, quality is good, I have no complaints 👍👍

Amazing Product
Usually don't bother with reviews, but Keens are such an amazing product that I don't understand why they aren't more ubiquitous. First pair lasted 10+ years and were in great condition until I lost them. Sad day. Bought 2nd pair and extremely happy with them. I recommend them all the time and repeatedly.

U should pay me for all my sales marketing I do for u guys…...
I have always loved Jesus joggers bc though I love socks when it’s cold they make ur feet soft and soggy….I have worn keens for a while. After I first discovered them I have worn the into oblivion and then I get a new pair. This is my 5th pair bc my last pair I got into an accident and lost one of my keens riding a Harley on the 1 in California. i don't recommend riding in keens but you have to understand…I love the feel and freedom of them on my feet that much. Also its quite possible that if I had been in my constricting boots that my leg would have been caught as I went off the bike and over the rail and done more damage…I always cut the laces off my keens as thats the one thing I dont like about them and I dont need them. If I do I just make 550 cord laces which work as emergency line on trips and adventures (free marketing idea:)…so the sandal just popped off my foot and my leg slipped out through the bike and guard rail sandwich that I rode into. Anyways I cant tell u enough about these shoes….but here’s one more. I just met this bum who may have been an angel and he was walking barefoot. We got some coffee and I went back to get him my keens as he said he was the same size as me 9.5. So I brought him my "on the verge of oblivion" pair bc thats all I had. I gave him the marketing pitch I give everyone about these shoes and that he could just slip em on for light duty and pull the back strap up when he needs to but his foot was so wide from hardcore bum life that he had to cut the back straps off and then they worked perfect….Yah! so I really like these shoes. Thanks for making these. <3

Tropical hiking
Great shoe for hiking in the tropics jungle or rough terrain. Used identical pair in Madagascar in December. Takes time to dry but so does everything ,100 degrees and rain.
