I typically like really technical shoes, so I didn't expect to fall in love with these, but they have been my primary shoe, this summer. I've taken them hiking, rock scrambling and fishing (they are not intended for fishing, just decent, in a pinch).

They have a decent amount of cushion and are very comfortable out of the box. NO blisters. They are stable going through water, and dry quickly (though a sandal would dry quicker). The longest hike I've done with them was 15 miles. They were flawless!

I take them off trail often and up lower class-5 rock, and have had zero issues. I have pronated (or flat) feet. These keep my foot stable and my ankles don't roll in.

Love This Boot

I bought these in high top and they are probably the best hiking boot I have ever owned. I call them my Gecko boots because they grip well when hiking over rocks. There is very little arch support but I inserted my own insoles to deal with that. Backpacked in the Sierras this summer with these boots and never had sore feet which was very unusual. Very breathable but not waterproof. Hiking through a wet meadow one day resulted in damp socks but the boots are so breathable they also dried quickly. However, I would not want to wear these on a rainy hike. To deal with hiking in the rain I bought the waterproof low tops but am not as happy with them because the waterproof membrane makes them stiffer. The flex in the high top (non-waterproof) boot is what really makes them work for me and the low tops lose some of that.

Awesome, light, lots of room

Bought these on a whim because I like keens and I love green. Seems logical. I have consistently worn my Merrell moabs but find that my feet are killing me after 10 miles. Tried these out today for an 8 mile day hike.

I wore them all week before a hike and quickly found that they were super comfortable as my every day shoes. The hike was pretty easy but extremely rocky. I noticed very little slipping, which was key. I wanted a low profile shoe that I could bounce around in and scurry over scrambles. These were great today. I slipped a lot in my Merrells for some reason and was always always very hesitant with each step. The keens felt great and I felt more confident about not falling on my face.

Let's not forget about the amazing toe guard. I trip a lot on rocks (smooth, I know) and today's leaf covered, rocky trail proved no different. Loved having that extra protection and no toe blisters.

The only downfall is I wish I could tighten the laces around my toes more to keep my feet from sliding around/forward, especially on the decent. I have narrow feet and these are wide in the toes for me. I can deal, because I like the shoe a lot.

Bottom line - low profile, light weight, excellent tread, awesome color, breathable mesh... Dries fast. I might get them in blue. ☺

roomy fit!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

Keens in the past have never let me down, until now. These are adequate shoes, but they are extremely roomy and my foot is medium width. Not much arch support either. The shoe is light and durable, but I feel like I need to tighten the shoe laces as much as possible to avoid the foot from having a play day in the shoe.

beautiful shoes & light weight

This Grey & Blue combo shoes are bought for my Mum. The colour is quite beautiful, especially for the ladies who are not fascinated in some sweet colour. I tried it on, when receive. The strong feeling is light weight and big space for toes. If without international delivery fee, I would like to buy one more pair for myself. Hahaha~
