Sometimes socks just feel stifling, especially on warm summer days while hiking a dry wash in Southwest canyon country. For those days, you have the Keen Men's Laguna Sandals. These sandals let your feet breathe, but they give your toes protection from rocks and scrub brush, too. Keen's metatomical footbeds and EVA midsoles provide support and shock absorption as you scramble up sandstone, and lugged carbon outsoles ensure you don't slip. The lace system lets you get a snug fit. Should you encounter water in this dry country—or go rafting down the Colorado River—these leather Lagunas are waterproof, and Keen treated them with an antimicrobial to keep down odors.
Bottom Line: Free your feet—wear the Laguna Sandals.
From day one - these sandals have been comfortable, sturdy and good looking too. I especially like the footbed - they seem to be perfectly molded to my feet. I am wearing them for all situations, hiking, boating and evenings out. I like them so much, I am planning to purchase another pair as a back-up.
I picked these up for some river trips, but they've become my "go to" sandal! They're bomb proof and after a year of use you can barely tell the soles have been walked on. Maybe I'm a little more anal retentive with my gear but they're holding up extremely well. The leather seems to be very waterproof as well. I haven't treated them once and they are still perfect! Well worth the money, they'll last a lot longer than you'll expect!!!

I bought these for my husband as a gift because he wears his sneakers a lot in the summer when it's very hot and he doesn't feel like his flip-flops are supportive enough for certain activities . . he was a little apprehensive about the KEEN Sandals at first and concerned that the insole would stink because his feet sweat a lot but has since worn them everyday as an alternative to socks and sneakers. . loves them. He especially likes the supportive and protective soles when he skateboards.
Write your question here..I bought this shoe last year and the string recently broke. Where do I go to fix it. The local shoe repair had no idea how to do it..
I believe that Keen will replace bungee-style laces (but I'm not sure if they charge for it). Here's the Keen website that discusses this: http://www.keenfootwear.com/custserv_warranty.aspx?section=WarrantyFAQs
I cannot lie, I was jealous of the style of sandal my 1 year old had when someone gave him a pair of Keen sandals for his birthday. After my research I bought my Lagunas. Im not one of the "its summer so I will wear sandals no matter the cost" person. I am too OCD-ish for that, I haven't worn any for the last 8 years in fear of me stubbing stubbing my toe or stepping on something that went thru the sandal and I get some god awful infection setting into my foot. These sandals have put my mind at ease. They cover the toe to prevent me from stubbing it and have a rugged sole to help prevent something from going into it. Trust me, if you are at a beach or family gathering at a park where broken glass is commonplace, these sandals are your best bet. Plus they are waterproof which means that you will no longer need aqua socks for that camping trip! Just straight into the kayak! I've had my sandals for 2 years now and no matter what I put them thru (literally) mud puddles, hollow trees, you name it, they still look like they are new. I bought another pair because my brother wanted some after he broke one of the toe straps to his sandals. You get what you pay for and these sandals are money well spent.

With Keen's I usually order 1/2 size larger than normal. I've worn little else since they arrived. Comfortable enough for long walks. They can get a bit warm, but are a lot cooler than shoes.
I've had my Keen Sandals for 2 years now and they are still going strong. The only wear is on the sole and they still have years left. I wear them almost everyday in the summer and they have always been comfortable. I would definitely buy them again!
he Laguna by Keen is a good sport sandal for people with high instep and/or wide feet. What makes the Laguna style fit and feel better than other Keens is there's no one piece neoprene webbing across the top and down the sides. That kind of webbing is restricting. You can actually use the bungee lacing system in the Laguna because the sides are not attached to the neoprene tongue making for a better fit for high instep and wider feet with no excessive squeezing. Keens are somewhat small so order up one size bigger.
My kids recommended I checkout Keen sandals so I did. My search led me to Backcountry. They offered the best price on the style I preferred. I've had the sandals for a month I'm very satisfied. They're very comfortable and they look great. I'm also very satisfied with backcountry.com.
I've heard lots of good things about Keen. The Laguna Sandals have not lived up to my expectations. Sometimes socks just feel stifling but without them these feel sort of sticky, sweaty. They probably work great in water, unfortunately I don't think I'll get the chance since the sole started coming up on the right shoe three days after I bought them and the sole coming unglued and sliding around like that makes them too annoying for me to wear. Also there is a piece of plastic poking me in the foot on the right sandal, I suppose I could shave that off and glue down the sole, regardless, not what I expected from Keen.
