This boot is designed to be breathable and doesn't have insulation. It would be a little cold if used in the winter. I'd recommend checking out the Keen Revel instead:

It's an excellent winter hiking boot I've used for 2 seasons now with no complaints.

I had tried on the Targhee IIs and they fit like a dream, but have poor reliability reviews, so I ordered the Gypsums, which had much better reviews. The Gypsums were cavernous compared the the Targhees; didn't fit me at all. So they may be great boots but not for me.

Very comfortable right out of the box. I wore these for 4 days while backpacking (roughly 20-25 miles). The boots were very comfortable until the last mile hiking down the mountain. My heel started to rub a little. No blisters but it was only the last mile. I do like the boots and plan to wear them on my next trip. I don't think you'll be disappointed. They stayed waterproof in a good 5 hour down pour. Traction was great even on wet rock. The extra padded foot bed was nice with a 50 lb pack on.

How wide do these run?

Keen's have a wide toe box. Probably 2E-ish. Customers with 'wide' feet nearly always fit well into a Keen compared to a Merrell or similar brand.

I agree with Connor. I have wider feet and Keens do well for me.

These boots are AWESOME!! I wore them on a day hike at Palo Duro a few weeks ago. I had very little break-in and my feet never got hot.

When I came to adventure equipment store to find a pair of boots, I didn't have any specific brand. I just want a pair of waterproof boots but fairly breathable when using it in tropical weather (I live in tropical country). I choose some boots depend on its look. When i tried Keen Gypsum for the first time, my foot like said "Wow, it is wrapping me comfortably." Its wide toes fit with my wide feet.
When I use it daily in tropical weather, it doesn't feel hot. And when I tried to step on the puddle and walking in the rain, it kept my foot dry. Its mid makes me easy to take off my shoes from my feet. I just need loosen the top laces, then pull out my foot easily.

OHHHH Man. Got these in this week while looking for something durable and comfy to wear as a full season boot. These must be the top of the line from keen. Construction looks rock solid, including metal eyelets on top. Leather is nice and thick, and seems like it will really be in it for the long run. A bit stiff at first, but that's good. They broke in within 4-5 days of sold walking, and now I feel like I'm wearing slippers. Ankle support is excellent. I really love these, fit perfectly right out of the box. I'm just worried they might be to insulated come summertime.

I would recommend these boots for cool to warm climates, and rugged terrain. I haven't tested the waterproofing yet, but I'm sure I will have the chance as I received them just in time for the rainy season.
They have a very comfortable fit, nice and snug near the heal and a good amount of space in the toe. The midsole prevents you from feeling rocks pushing up into the sole of your foot. They are lightweight and very comfortable. I will be using these boots on a daily basis for work in rugged terrain.

Get these boots and order them from backcountry. It's a Win Win situation. You are getting a perfect product from a most efficient company.
I live in Japan and cannot find KEENS in my size. I recently took a trip to LA and pre-ordered these boots. They were waiting for me in my hotel room when I arrived 6 days later and they fit like a shoe should fit!! They are not nearly as silver-looking as they photograph. They are a charcoal gray - they are PERFECTION!! GET THESE BOOTS!!!
