Disappointed.

Let 'er rip.Well I have got to say, they are the comfiest sandals I've owned, but for $120 I didn't expect the the tabs on the tongue to come off in my hand the first time I adjust them. Now a pain in the neck to adjust the tongue. Expected better having bought all my other outdoor gear since being out in Afghanistan and not had any problem with any of it til now!!

Between the Newport, Newport H2, Glisan, and Kanyon is there any reason NOT to choose one of these for a 70% casual 30% trail sandal? Might do a creek hike once in awhile and dont want to sacrafice a pair of sandles that looked a little better when i can get a similar looking pair that would hold up better.

Either Newport's have the most support, I would not use the Glissan for river crossings, it has a removable insole and not designed for rugged hiking.

Other Keen sandals like the Newport and Newport H2 have a raised ridge on the insole in the area where my toes meet the rest of my foot (right where my toes flex). I can't wear those sandals b/c that ridge always hits my foot in the right spot and annoys my toes. Do these Gilsan sandals have a raised ridge in the same area of the footbed? Or is the Gilsan insole flat under the toe area like a typical shoe?

Hey Keith,

The Glissan has a removable footbed and does not have the same toe bar as the Newports.

The Venice and Venice H2 does not have the toe bar either.
