Love Them

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Initially I tried these sandals on locally and found them to be extremely comfortable and attractive, but thought they were too expensive for a sandal. I am thrilled to report I was able to purchase them online for $20 less. I wanted a warm weather alternative to close toed walking shoes for a one week trip to Paris. I only wore them one day, but it was when we went to Versailles, then ended the day at the Eiffel Tower. Needless to say we on the move all day and the sandals were never an issue. They were great right of the box, requiring no break in time. I think they would also look great with a casual dress/skirt.

Comfortable and Stylish

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I've been looking for a pair of travel sandals and found these were comfortable right out of the box. The only issue is that the back strap slips off and it doesn't get any smaller. I may have to add holes so that these don't slip off so easily.

Worth the investment

I bought these for a five week trip to West Africa. They did take some time breaking in -- the first time I walked in them for a couple of miles, I developed raging blisters between my first and second toes. Even though I've worn thongs before, the thong potion of these shoes is thicker than most, which really took systematic getting used to (i.e. blistering over). But it was hands-down worth it. This was the only pair of sandals I took on my five week trip, and I never once had a problem on the trip (having already broken them in). Could not be happier. They are so much more attractive than the average "sport" sandal (especially in the rust color). I did not use these in wet weather, but I would disagree with the earlier poster and say that these are appropriate for "hard core traveling" (as much any sandal could be).

These shoes are amazing. I was going for some comfortable dress shoes and these definitely fit the bill. The toe thong keeps your feet from sliding forward while the strap across keeps it from jamming into your toe (I'm not a big fan of thong shoes). I wore these for my whole graduation weekend, and by the end of it my dad was tired of hearing me talk about how much I loved my new shoes and my mom was ready to buy herself a pair. Definitely worth the money!
