Great Kicks

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

I got these shoes from SAC about 4 months ago and am very pleased with them so far! I've taken them on several hikes in New Mexico and Montana. They kept my feet cool and dry in the New Mexico heat, and were successful at keeping water out while slogging through boggy soil in MT. The sole is somewhat thin, so you can feel the pebbles underfoot. I kind of like that feature, but some may find it irritating. The tread isn't super beefy either. These probably wouldn't be great for miles and miles of backpacking, but for day hikes and modest backpacking they are great! As far as size goes, I usually wear 6.5 in athletic shoes and got these in a 7.
