KEEN Delta Boot - Men's
Available Colors / Styles
Pull off the Keen Delta Boot after your winter summit, and pull it right back on when you realize you still have to shovel the driveway. The Keen.Dry waterproof and breathable membrane keeps your feet dry through rain, sleet, or snow, while Keen.Warm 200g insulation maintains toe warmth so you don’t have to stand on the kitchen vent for half an hour to regain feeling in your extremities.
- Dual climate rubber outsole automatically hardens in cold weather for increased traction
- Thermal heat shield footbed uses a thermal foil barrier to harness foot-heat and shut the cold out
- 4mm multi-directional lugs increase the heavy duty utility of the Delta
Bottom Line: Classic Keen comfort with a winter twist.

Standing in a river in northern Michigan

Last week of December in a (mostly) frozen river. Nice and warm in my Deltas.

With Keens people tend to love them or hate them and the Keen Deltas will probably inspire the same passion in most wearers. Important to note is that the description here on Backcountry has an error in it: these boots have 200 grams of Keen*Warm not 400 grams as listed. (This can be confirmed by the tag inside the boot [image attached] and on the Keen Footwear website.) This makes them warmth-wise a lace-up equivalent to the Keen Anchorage boot which is a slip-on with less ankle support. The Keen Deltas enjoy the same wide toe-box and protective toe-cap that Keen fans have come to expect along with that unique Keen fit and support. Reviews on other sites have criticized these boots as not being waterproof. I've not discovered that to be the case yet but if it were it could probably be remedied with an application of Welt-Seal (made by Atsko, the makers of Sno-Seal - approx $7 a tube) around the welt. I have found them surprisingly warm for a 200g level boot yet breathable enough that your feet aren't melting indoors. I have pretty cold feet and they have become my everyday winter footwear. The ankle collar was stiff initially and I needed to wear them laced loosely at the top for the first a few days to prevent chafing (and this is coming after wearing Danner 26010 combat boots everyday for months before that) but after about 5 days this was no longer a problem. I purchased the black/laurel oak color and they are very good looking boots and manufacturing quality appears high. Traction is outstanding. Open lug design will self-clean mud and snow. Dual-climate rubber allegedly improves grip on ice but I have not confirmed that yet myself. Value for price I consider to be excellent even at full retail. An honest look at my purchase history makes me consider myself rather prone to buyer's remorse, especially with footwear yet I do not regret this purchase in the least.
