LOVE these boots!

Wonderful boots that are great for lots of situations - cute enough for wearing around downtown Seattle in rainy December, and tough enough to wear on a 3 mile hike through the muddy forest. Love everything about this boot! No complaints whatsoever.

Amazing

I wear these nearly every day. They are adorable, which is what I love most about them, but they are also comfortable and functional. I bought the brown ones and they don't really have the sheen like they do in the backcountry photo. They have more of a soft, matte look. LOVE LOVE LOVE

almost perfect

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have a couple pairs of keen boots and they are truly comfortable and waterproof, but they are a little clunky. I was looking for something I could more reasonably take on winter business trips, that would be comfortable to wear all day walking and standing and would be versatile enough to get away with wearing in professional situations. These are lighter weight and less rugged looking than the typical keen boots and have a really nice style to them - it is hard to see but they have some nice contrast-stitch detailing up top. They are also a little higher than calf high but below the knee, which is perfect - at 5'2" some knee high boots are too tall and ankle boots make my short legs look even stumpier. I always wear a 7.5 in keen shoes and boots, though if you are going by your size in the sandals I would go a half size up. These have a wide enough calf to fit leggings or tights, but it would be a tight fit with jeans unless you have very skinny calves - so these tend to run a bit narrower in the calf then most other keens do ( I do have muscular calves).

I got this in a nubuck version, which looks fantastic and expensive. The leather is still waterproof, but it is a bit stiff. I find it digging into my ankles a bit - but to be fair I just tried on a ton of pretty expensive boots famed for their comfort (Merrell, Teva, Chaco) and they all do the same thing - though these less than the others.

The delancey has a less padded outsole than typical for previous keen styling, though keeping in line with the CNX low profile line in general. They don't have tons of arch support if you need that.

They have so much going for them in terms of style, comfort, quality and versatility that I want to love them. Not sure if I am keeping them. Will update
