Hop into the KEEN Men's Daytona Sandal and pound MGDs with Hoss and the boys before the five-hunder. The rugged leather Daytona features a hydrophobic mesh lining so you can wrassle in the dirt but rely on your feet to stay cool and dry. The Daytona's leather-covered cork footbed cushions and comforts your foot all day—even when you have to watch the race from the standing-only section.
Bottom Line: Amurica's hottest new sport: watching fast cars go around a track 200 times—at least your Daytona Sandals won't bore you.
I wear a size 10. I bought these in 10 1/2 because I read in a review to buy a size up. Good move. They fit me perfectly. I wear these every other day. They feel great on my feet. Some may not like the feel when they get wet though with the leather sole. However, that said, I would buy these again and again if and when they wear out. Well constructed, light and very comfortable. As another wrote, the elastic pull lace is a bit long but tucks nicely under the rest of the lacing. SUPER SANDALS.
Ive had all kind of sandals from Oakley, Teva, Birks, and Keens. I would honestly say that Keens are the best. Newports (which I also have) gets a lot of love but personally other than a covered toe these Daytonas are much more comfortable.I prefer this leather than the synthetic h2 but that's just me. Also order a half size larger for better fit.
Backcountry's price is awesome and so is the service. I'll definitely be back for more. Thanks.
These are great all-around sandals. The footbed is very comfortable, and they provide good support. They seem to fit true-to-size. As compared with many sandals that have just two straps, these cradle your foot much like a shoe would, but they are (obviously) much cooler. There are no real pressure points. The lacing system allows you to have them loose for just kicking around, or to tighten them down so that there is very little slippage (e.g., if you are going hiking). Because of the leather, they are not designed as a water sandal, but they do work fine if you get them wet (even though they take a while to dry out). If I were going to be needing sandals for serious scrambling, I'd get one with toe protection, but for an everyday, very comfortable and wearable sandal, this one is sure hard to beat!

Totally the best damn sandals out there and they look the way a sandal should look!!! I think I will buy a second pair and put them in storage just in case they stop making these things...they are that good!
Ok, I couldn't resist trying these daytonas. I usually / ok never wear sandals. I found my self in need of some for my trip to Cancun. I put these on and I swear I was wearing my reboks. The fit great size chart is right on. The support is as good a my tennis shoes. Fit and finish is near perfect and they are waterproof. There was absolutely no break in as there isn't a toe strap. If ya don't like them you can email and complain to me.
Great Sandals. I was skeptical buying these without trying them on first, especially made of leather, but they were very comfortable. It has a poly fiber on the inside, so no leather actually touches your foot. Very light and comfortable. Well made product. Sizes run pretty true. I am normally between an 11 1/2 and a 12, so I ordered an 11 1/2 and it fit perfectly. No blisters from wearing them a full 10 hours the first day I wore them, walking constantly. Backcountry.com is a great company to order from as well. Fast shipping from coast-to-coast, great communications to their customers, and offer the ability to return the item.
So far, used them several times during hot spring days, and absolutely happy about a purchase. Nothing comparable with all those cheaper sandals in comfort.
I usually buy the cheaper flops at sporting good stores but i decided to get a nice recreational pair and the daytonas have been all that and a bag of chips. These are my go to sandals on a daily basis as well as for the beach, river, lake, and base camp when i get back from a knarly hike. I also wear them mt biking on occasion as well. They are superior in comfort as well as quality craftsmanship to anything i have ever owned. i have flat out abused these sandals and they barely show the wear. Granted, i have only had them since Jan. 09 but they have already been to padre island nt seashore, guadalupe nt park, and numerous st parks, lakes and rivers in the surrounding austin area. Having a solid water proof sandal in this neck of the woods is a must. And i have yet to have any odor issues with them, although i do take measures to make sure they dry out properly after they get drenched. If you want a multi purpose sandal that still looks good enough for a night on the town these are defininely for you. bomb proof for sure.
First of all, Backcountry.com is awesome. This was my first purchase from them. Prices are good and the shipping was fast.
Now to the Keen Daytona sandals. I wear a size 12 and these fit perfectly. I also have wide feet and normally get a 4E in a regular shoe so I was concerned about width. Not a problem with the Daytona's. They are a bit stretchy on the sides due to the way they are built. Very comfortable! They also seem well built and look very nice.
I'm in the same boat with the Fred Flintstone feet and wholeheartedly agree, these fit like no other. I tried on ten pairs of similar sandals and kept going back to these for their superior fit and comfort.
Having heard so many rave reviews of Keens I decided to give the Daytonas a try. Out of the box they are comfortable and I like the leather foot bed. However I was surprised the sandals are so hot, my wife said oh yeah Keens can be rather warm. Not what I expect in a sandal. As for the fit the front straps really close down around my toes, granted I have a wide forefoot and have been in Birkenstocks for 32 years. I'm just not sure what the rave is all about. I do like the open toe design. I could not find them in any store in my area so ordered online sans trying them on. So a rather mixed impression, I'll continue to wear them and see. A 5 star shoe would be soemthing you would have to pry off my feet and I would wear everyday.
This is a comfortable sandal. The fit is true and they work well for the water, but don't dry quickly. I'd recommend these for anyone who likes MGD or Miller lite.
