Look like slippers but work like shoes

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

My wife works at a hospital and is on her feet all day. We've had a hard time finding her some shoes that give her the support she needs as well as the cushion she desires. She actually ended up blowing out her running shoes before we got these because the soft EVA on them helped her feet to ache a little less at the end of the day.

We got these on a whim and it just so happens that they've really worked out for her. The faux fur was a little intimidating, we thought they were going to be like ovens but they're surprisingly comfortable temperature wise. And the faux fur actually helps to keep her feet cushioned throughout the day. They look super sharp under pants as well, rather than looking like she's wearing a slipper all the time.

KEEN's generally run a half size small and my wife wears an 8 normally so we went with an 8.5 and they fit like a glove.

Sizing

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

I made the mistake of listening to the reviews regarding sizing and ordered a half size up. They were too big! I'm returning and ordered in my regular size. Not happy paying shipping 3 times!

They run small

I put them on once right out of the mailbox, and they were very small. My toe smashed up against the shoe. Not just tight, but definitely too short. I should have ordered a full size up. I returned them. Probably a good shoe if you get one that fits. they didn't have bigger sizes left, so I won't know.

Just right

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I had to go 1/2 size up from what I usually wear in Keen, but I was glad I did. These are just right for when I have to go out but don't want the hassle of hauling on my boots. They're comfortable, warm, and I can take good walks in them on most surfaces.
Glad to know I can still count on Keen!

Ultra-comfortable

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This shoe wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it's great nonetheless--lower-profile than the photo would lead you to expect (I thought it would be more clog-like). The 'shearling' is only on the collar area, but that's OK because otherwise it would interfere with the fit - and it'very soft, kind of like silky fleece. The insole is super-cushioned so it's great for standing. The fit is definitely smaller -- I bought a 9 in this one and it fits the same as my other KEEN 8.5s. The leather is also pretty water- and stain-repellent -- got a few splashes of paint on them but they cleaned right up.

So comfortable!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I picked these up from backcountry.com, and they are perfect for what I wanted - a casual slip on shoe to go to the gym, let the dog out, and for shopping excursions, without having to put my boots on. I have been using these at -25F in Fairbanks and they are nice and warm for the short distances I use them for, and the traction is really good for the snowy/icy conditions (unlike Danskos which have awful tread for snowy conditions). Fit is true to size.
