We love the ease of use. My son is 26 months and can almost get these completely on by himself. They are VERY sturdy shoes and are basic enough for playing, but can also be work with khakis to "dress up" a bit. I do agree with the review about the shoes hitting the ankle bone- no blisters or bleeding for us, but I was worried about it!

Carter got these shoes for his first birthday! A few days later, he finally decided to stand up on his own for more than 2 seconds. In this photo, he stood up for more than 2 minutes (enough time for me to grab the camera out of my purse and snap a photo)! I think these shoes helped his as they have a thick sole and gave him confidence to be stand sturdy.

I bought these for my 18 month old son. The sides of the shoe hit right on the ankle bone on both sides of his feet on both feet. Let me tell you when your little boy stops playing and walks up to you with a fearful look and you look down to see bloody socks, not happy with my purchase.
