Whether you’re heading off to work or leaving it in your dust for the weekend, the KEEN Burnside Backpack keeps your necessities close. Safely store your computer in the padded laptop sleeve, and throw your day’s necessities in the large main compartment. The fleece-lined cell phone and MP3 pockets ensure you can stay in touch with the world (if you want to), and the removable sternum strap accommodates large loads on the trail. With both top and side entry, this pack allows you to access your gear when you’re on the move, and the breathable molded foam back panel rides comfortably for the entire day.

Bottom Line: Organize your doo-dads and stash your gear.

Awesome Pack!

Like the previous review, I was looking for something I could put work stuff in (laptop, notebook, ipod) that would protect it all and keep a sleek profile; didn't want a huge bulky laptop shoulder bag, or a boxy backpack. This thing has the perfect amount of pockets with thick, heavy duty zippers that inspire confidence. I can load it up in the morning for work, and use it as a daypack for hiking or cycling. The main compartment opens from the side, so it works like a briefcase when you're packing stuff in; zip it up and throw it on your back and it keeps your stuff in place while maintaining a sleek profile.

The only downside is the chest strap is a funky interlocking piece; a buckle would've made a lot more sense. An external water bottle pocket would've been a nice addition.

I love this pack

This was a bit of an impulse buy in the middle of the night. I really wanted a back pack that could protect my laptop, not make me look like a douche, and perhaps double as something else (a snowboarding pack or day pack, etc.).

This thing doesn't have a ton of cargo room, but it's the perfect size for me. It doesn't *look* like a laptop bag which is a huge plus for me. It's very trim and sleek and is divided into the proper amount of compartments without over doing it. I can keep my cables, USB thumb drives, paper stuff, and water bottle/cliff bar all separate.

I'm very very pleased w/ this thing.... great bag at a great price. Big win
