I always have to go up 1/2 a size with keen and they fit well.
I always have to go up 1/2 a size with keen and they fit well. I have read reviews that some suggest going up an entire size with keen boots. Any opinions?

I would stick with a half size. Keen's website mentions the models that they think should be sized up a half size.

Really like the style of this boot and it is easy to get on/off. Haven't had any very cold weather yet, so only worn a couple of times. They were almost too warm! I did have to add an arch support insert because I have had foot surgery and need the extra support. Otherwise, very comfortable and stylish.

If you wear tight jeans you will see a bulge, if you wear bell bottoms no problem.

These boots are so cute, they look great, a perfect balance of style with some no slip function. Exactly what I was looking for and the Slate Black color looked great. But, I typically wear a 8.5 in Keen, I ordered the 8 because 8.5 not was available. They are snug ... too snug to get by and I"m sure would be uncomfortable after just a short time wearing. I am disappointed I have to return and unable to exchange.

The Brighton Boot has two Gore's (stretchy elastic material) one on each side of the boot. The boot is about 17 inches around at the top in a size 7.
Measure your calf to see if the boot will work.

Great boot. The fit is great, a bit on the bigger side, so don't be afraid to go 1/2 size smaller. They did adjust nicely to my foot. Got a chance to get them wet the other day and they held up to the waterproof label and kept my feet nice and warm as well. I've also had lots of compliments when wearing them.

Hi, I have small feet and am looking for a winter women's boot. My foot is 8.5 inches in length and 3.75 inches wide at the ball of my foot. Do you think the size 5 would fit me? Also, do you know how high they are at the calf. Thanks

I think the 5 would work and on the height, on a average leg length it is mid calf to over the calf.

Hello Karen,
I believe this boot would not work for your foot. I would however recommend to have your foot measured, when you get your foot measured make sure they measure your arch length this is the most important measurement of your foot. This is your widest part of your foot and you want to coincide it with the widest part of the boot. Normally your arch length is longer than your toe length. Try on a shoe or boot that is the same length as your arch length this will help the width of your foot, a longer shoe has more room in it.
On the boots I would recommend the Brixen Boot by KEEN it runs wider.

No, this boot is not fitted around the ankle. You would be better off looking at the Hoodoo Boot by KEEN. it is not as fashionable as the Brighton boot, but will give you the support you need.
