Abuse gravity when you sprint down the mountain with the KEEN A86 TR Shoe. Its low-profile, breathable mesh upper works with you as you stride through long trails on hot days, and its moisture-wicking textile lining keeps the sweaty foot-funk and blisters away all summer.

  • The rubber outsole features aggressive tread to keep your steps sure and your pace quick
  • A removable EVA footbed cradles your foot and delivers rebound throughout the miles
  • Cushioning and a flexible feel are provided by the compression-molded PU midsole

Bottom Line: A lightweight, deluxe trail runner for people with a serious trail-crushing obsession.

typical minimalist shoe

if you are a minimalist runner, used to say the 5 fingers, these a great scree/cold weather, occasional pavement option. you will want to run as if you are barefoot. they are as durable as any other minimalist shoe. if you want durability, get an over-built shoe. i wouldn't call them narrow... more low-volume. great for the $ on SAC.

Keen

Not the typical Keen fit- much too narrow for both my feet and my husbands too. We each bought a pair, hoping to wear them on our backpacking trip. Nice weight, but poor fit for people that usually wear Keens.

Shoes after 1 month (300+ miles)

By:
August 18, 2011

This is what my shoes looked like after wearing them daily for a month. Do not take these trail running. They are not very durable. They do have an excellent fit and great snug lacing system if you have a low volume foot. Great for walking/running around town.

Fit narrow feet well

By:
August 31, 2011

I have fairly narrow feet and these fit my feet really well. They are very comfortable shoes. I was given the shoes, but I don't really go in for the minimalist thing. It's like wearing running slippers. They are that comfortable, but I like more support when I run. The tread is good for off road, but as another reviewer mentioned, they're not too durable.
