Kayland built the Men's Zephyr Hiking Boot within an injected PU exoskeleton for bomber structure and ergonomic support. The shoe's lightweight, abrasion-resistant construction incorporates an EVA Integrated Absorbing Driving System for cushioning on hilly terrain. Don't be afraid to take the Zephyr Shoe on long backpacks in hot or cold weather--its eVent Cocona fabric wicks and breathes in summer and sheds water when the storms hit. As the trail steepens, trust Vibram Mars outsoles to provide sure footing.

Bottom Line: The kind of boot you can wear everywhere for years to come.

Hey Phil!
Unfortunately we do not. We are a completely online company, aside from a small retail store at our main office in the U.S. However that being said you can purchase items from us, shipping gets kind of pricey sometimes, but as long as its not on the list on the link below we would be happy to help you out. Cheers!

Brands we cannot ship out of the U.S:

Confidence I've never had before

By:
December 19, 2009

Now that I've had a chance to break these babies in I love them! I was worried that they would be too narrow but after a few miles of break-in they fit like a glove. Its amazing how stable these boots are. I just finished a 5mi trek on hard packed and soft snow covered trails which were very unstable but my feet were stable and my ankles felt safe and secure. Although these are Kayland's "light" hiker my feet were incredibly warm and dry in the 24 degree weather and ankle deep snow. The aspect I like most about the Zephyrs is the amount of confidence I have in my feet now, something I've never had in any other hiking boots.

My experience has been that these boots run slightly small. They are narrow to begin with so I would think about getting a 1/2 size bigger. Once the size was right for me the fit was great.

Waterproof?

By:
December 14, 2009

Tried out new boots on 8 mile hike in the rain and found that my pair of boots was not waterproof - moisture soaked through and socks and inner surface was damp - either defective or there is design fault. Lightweight, heel-fit, grip and stability were excellent. Sizing OK with adjustment of laces although I normally wear wide (this was my main concern when buying). I had proper rain jacket and pants and rain water did not flow down my legs or similar as my clothes under rain gear were dry. Except for waterproof problem - I like the boots i.e. either 2 star or 5 star. Cost me about $20 in shipping (2 day shipping to receive and UPS ground to return) to find out the problem and I am not sure if I wish to chance buying another pair to find the same problem.

They Zephyrs I just got feel narrow. I'm very picky about

They Zephyrs I just got feel narrow. I'm very picky about a precise fit but haven't ever found it in a hiking boot. I definitely don't need a bigger size because my heel feels secure and there is no bunching in the toe box. Just pressure on the outside of my pinky toe. What am I to do? Will they "break-in" to my foot shape?

Yes they will break-in! I had the same concern when I first put them on and wore them around the house. But once I got out on the trails that feeling went away. I've put about 10mi on them and there are no pressure points just amazing stability. They do still feel narrow when I first put them on but the feeling is gone once I start moving. I hope you gave them a try and didn't send them back!

Won't break an ankle.

By:
November 13, 2009

I begged @backcountrycom to get these on their site cause they're Backpacker Mag's 2009 Editors Choice winner and I wanted them but only through this site.

I received them about an hour ago and just tied them on. They are incredibly sturdy and have a ton of ankle support. They narrow to me and not sure if they will break-in to the width of my foot so I'm kind of stumped right now. All I can say is that they are "pretty cool" because they look and feel awesome(except for the narrowness) but they haven't left the house yet.

Well, i really tried to loke these boots. They consider these boots but they are more like beefy sneakers. Didn't really feel like a hiking/backpacking boot at all!

The toe box is VERY narrow. I know some people thought they would break in but i couldn't even get to that point. The rest of the boot fit very well though. They do feel narrow when you first put them on but soon after feel very snug. I loved the way they locked the heal in. I just wished the toe box was the same. And by the way, the padding in the toes box is very thin. there is a lot of rocker built into this shoe and like i said, the front of the shoe feels way different than the back!

I returned them for a boot that feels more like a true backpacking boot.
