Has anyone EVER replaced this filter?

What a bombproof water filter, I have had mine for over 15 years (the blue version) and its still chugging away... at ~13k gallons of use between filter replacement, I have yet to replace it!

I have not used my Pocket Filter in about 10 years. Tried it this week and having a problem with pumping. Does not pump water through. Do not have directions. Cannot take apart to inspect -- frozen. Any suggestions on how to safely take filter apart?

Fill your kitchen sink with clean, warm water & allow the filter body to soak for about an hour. Try pumping while submerged. If the filter is not too locked-up, this will free the frozen components & restore to normal usage. Repeat if necessary. Hope this helps.

The replacement cartridge pictured looks like it is from the mid nineties- Is this identical to the unit that ships? The filter hasn't changed much over the years, but the change from the fixed spigot to an outlet nipple that accepts tubular hose is pretty key (in my not so humble opinion). If the unit pictured is actually what ships, & I can screw my (relatively speaking) old nipple onto the fixed spigot, I still might consider purchasing it.

Don't know but sure would like an answer because I'm looking for the type pictured here. Anyone have a line on what's pictured here?

All the filters are compatible with all the Pocket models, the only difference is that the new style has a "nipple" to attach a hose instead of just the angled spout like shown here...
