Powder and big alpine lines don't always go hand in hand, so a ski that will handle the variable conditions you'll encounter in the alpine is essential to a successful descent. The Kastle TX 97 Tour Montagne Ski is built to hold an edge whether you luck out with some soft turns or are making hop turns down icy couloirs, thanks to an early rise tip, camber underfoot, and a powerful feel in the tail.
Kastle's line of touring skis (TX series) combine Kastle's legendary dampening technologies with a lightweight construction that lends itself well to the human-powered ascent. To keep the weight down, the TX97s feature a cap construction with a lightweight karuba wood core. The tip maintains Kastle's proprietary vibration dampening Hollowtech technology by placing a hollow cutout in the shovel, which not only shaves weight from the ski, but eliminates chatter when conditions are, well, less than ideal. In order to keep the ski relatively stiff, Kastle integrated two layers of fiberglass both above and below the core, so you'll be able to open your turns up when the terrain permits it. The notched tail makes for a solid skin attachment point that won't slip and slide on the skintrack.
