Bad-weather fishing just became a lot more fun.

Fish aren't bears—cold weather doesn't send 'em all to sleep, and you don't want to miss out on your dream salmon just because the water's freezing and there's a light blizzard. Kast Gear designed the Steelhead Glove so you don't have to, with a completely waterproof OutDry membrane that keeps your digits dry even if they're submerged for minutes at a time. Unlike neoprene gloves, which allow sweat to build up and freeze, the Steelhead's totally breathable, and is built with 4-way stretch fabric and a warm fleece lining to keep your hands warm as well as dry. Far more low-profile than most fishing gloves, the Steelhead also has grippy palms and fingers that help you control your equipment and grip fish without damaging them, and rubberized cuffs and closures to seal out water. Finally, while the soft nose wipe won't stop you from crying after you've reeled in the fish of your dreams, it will help you mop up the tears and keep joyful snot from dripping onto your chin, so you look a little bit less like a blubbering baby.

    Best winter fishing gloves... Period

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Live in Idaho and winter fish a lot, these are the first gloves I have which actually keep my fingers warm. Fished in 20degree weather yesterday and kept me warm ALL DAY! These gloves are best on market by far and allow me to keep amazing line control while keeping my hands warm. Takes a second to get accustomed to feel of glove and line but once this is accomplished after a few casts its seemless. Buy them. I have small hands (🙄) gloves run large... Got small but needed extra small.

they are decently warm, but wont keep your fingers from going numb if you are winter steelheading for a few hours - even before they leak. the wrists are too small to velcro closed for anyone with an athletic build - read big shoulders, small waist. wore them three times before both gloves sprung a leak. now kast wants me to pay for return shipping on their double faulty product.

The best cold weather fishing gloves!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It is hard to imagine how Kast gloves will change your winter fishing experience because if you're like me you HATE fishing with full fingered gloves and so you might not even consider them. Kast gloves are the ONLY exception I have found to my anti-fingered glove bias. These gloves changed my winter fishing and I get out on days in single digit temperatures. The gloves are completely and impressively waterproof. In fact, I dropped my forceps in about 12 inches of ice cold river last winter. I reached right into the water with my gloves on and stayed completely dry. I was dumbfounded. The gloves offer enough touch to comfortably cast and control your line and keep your hands toasty warm. I fish a lot of streamers from fall to spring and Kast gloves allow me to stay totally in touch with my line better than my fingerless gloves because in my Kast gloves, my fingertips aren't completely numb from the cold. The only time I have to take them off is to tie on new flies or tippets otherwise they stay on and they are a godsend!
