Description
Race ready.
When you need a helmet with a perfect fit, low weight, and maximum ventilation strap the Kask K10 Race Helmet to your head and feel the difference between old glory you have had since your college days and a helmet that is made to be barely noticed when you are out training. The official helmet of pro-cycling Team Sky, this top of the line helmet may not help you ride like a pro, but the comfort and style that come with it will have you looking like Mark Cavendish in the peloton.
The Kask K10 Race Helmet sets itself apart with the use of an Up-N-Down adjustment system. This system adjusts around your head and cradles the back of your head for a perfect and secure fit. The inner shell of the helmet is made of polystyrene with an in-molded plastic frame to insure a lighter weight helmet and better shock absorption. Although we don't like to think about crashing, the strengthened inner frame of the K10 keeps the entire helmet from breaking into pieces if you do happen to hit the pavement. Non-slip, anti-allergenic, and antibacterial gel that lines the inside provides comfort and keeps the helmet from migrating while you are riding.
Kask knows how important ventilation is when you are heating up on a long ride, so they equipped the K10 with 19 extra-large vents let air flow freely through the helmet so your head doesn't overheat. Although you may not need that much ventilation in the winter, rest assured that a thin balaclava will fit under the helmet on chilly days. The hypo-allergenic and washable chin pad with soft eco-leather strap helps you avoid irritation on sensitive skin. CoolMax removable and washable inner padding keeps your comfortable and the helmet stink free. Reflective stickers throughout the helmet add visibility in low light conditions.
The Kask K10 Race Helmet is available in Black, Red, White, Blue, Tricolor Blue, Tricolor Black, and Team Sky. One size fits most.
- Double-pivot Up-N-Down adjustment system, controlled by a central ratchet wheel, cradles the back of the head for a precise and comfortable fit

What year is this helmet?
Italian Quality

This is an excellent helmet. I tried many others and this was far ahead in terms of quality. It is 100% Italian made, which is very rare now a days. It is comfortable and easy to adjust. I bought two of these (at 50% from Realcyclist) one for my wife and one for my 9 year old son. The one size sizing was able to accomodate both of them easily. It is pretty light at around 280 to 300 grams.
Too heavy

I picked up one of these on chainlove. It arrived, I tried it on- the one size thing works very well. I'm usually between a medium and a large and this was really nice. I already have 2 other helmets- a catlike whisper (not the plus) and a giro aeon.
As much as I liked this helmet, it felt much heaver than the other 2. Then I put it on my scale. Forget the claimed weight of 280g- more like 350g.
The whisper weighs about 280g and the aeon is just ridiculously light (around 210g), so I packed it up and it's going back. Another drawback is the "kask" emblems that block the vents you'd otherwise be able to put your sunglasses through and have them stay .
Just not worth the extra quarter pound!
Love it

I'm with Zach, the one-size works. Very clever fitting scheme- up and down, and wide heads, narrower heads. Not the lightest. Maybe the cleverest. Made in Italy.

Pros: The helmet is very well constructed, feels sturdy and safe. The fit is outstanding, very comfortable.
Cons: A little heavy but not enough to make me not like it. Not a big fan of the leather chin strap. Would prefer traditional type strap. Leather a bit stiff and adds unnecessary weight.
one size fits most perfectly

I was initially worried about getting another "one size" helmet, as previous experience left a lot to be desired, with their awkwardly oversized shells and wonky fits. However, because my 58cm head was always between a Medium, and a Large in most brands, but right in the middle of the K10 spectrum, I gave it a try, and have been extremely pleased. Shell is just the right size, and manages somehow to both sit low on my head and neck, and stay low profile on the sides as well. The Up/Down adjuster should be an industry standard, and coupled with the gel padding, ensures the helmet stays perfectly in place no matter what shenanigans you put your head through. Also, the faux leather chin straps are a very nice, and surprisingly comfortable touch. It's clear that Kask is more about providing a 'total package' helmet with amazing Italian styling (100% made in Italy too!) at every level of the piece. This is the PRO level Kask helmet you're looking for, if coughing up 3 bills bills for the Vertigo would be the last straw that finalizes a divorce from your spouse.
