The Karhu XCD GT Ski blends classic Nordic and downhill designs to kick, glide and turn through any terrain, without the hassle of skins or wax. The lightweight, narrow profile of this ski combines with just enough sidecut to bridge the gap between AT and cross country touring. Karhu’s Greenlight sustainable wood core reduces the ski’s impact on both your legs and the environment. The Omnitrak NoWax base features five zones for smooth, efficient glide and has sharply angled, tight scales underfoot for maximum bite. Karhu gave the XCD GT their signature tour-friendly Camber and a Half design to facilitate cruising over rolling terrain.

Bottom Line: Explore anywhere you want and make turns on the versatile Karhu XCD GT Ski.

Great Skis!

I have a 3-year old set of karhu pyxis skis, which are earlier model of these skis. They are awesome. They glide but also handle the downhills nicely. The metal edges are nice. And, the skis grip really well when I'm ski the edge of a slope with a 40lb pack on.

I loved the feel of the skis from the get-go. I've skied 20-mile days on them with no problems. We I see a nice bowl I sometimes wish I had wider Karhus, but on those long days, I'm glad I'm not draggin all of that weight up the hill.

yes and id gone insane for them .coming from longer e 99 waxable (which are still #1 )i split the tail on a week long trip in maine and was forced to use the waxless karhu 185 shortys in 5-20 degree weather ive never had a waxless work that cold never mind as well as a well waxed fischer my turns took on a whole new level . But 3 years later well cared for (by my standards) waxless tech shows its truue self thru wear you cant fix ground up scales. would i buy another pair ...YES even the greatest of freinds have thier weakneses. This is across country ski w/ metal edges that turns fantastic for what it is. Where do you ski. and what are your freinds on?
