The updated Fulcrum Technology of the Karhu Strong2 Running Shoe means that you'll have an efficient, smooth stride from heel to toe thanks to the new, forward-oriented design. The softer EVA midsole does the cushioning, and the harder EVA Fulcrum near the middle of the foot provides rebound to help propel you into your next stride during your weekly half-marathon.
- Breathable air mesh upper vents your working foot so your sweat doesn't form blisters
- Carbon fiber plate provides a rigid structure for the unpredictable road or path ahead
- An EVA forefoot insert promotes health by lining up with your metatarsal heads while you run
- The breathable Ortholite footbed cradles your foot and manages foot sweat
- Compression-molded and blown rubber make up the grippy outsole, which also includes flex zones so you stay in contact with the road through your strides

I've been running in the Strong2 for a couple of months after trading in my Brooks Trance 10s. I will be doing 2 Ironman Triathlons this year and the Strong2 has become my trainer for the following reasons: I'm a moderate pronating Clydesdale, so I need a stability shoe that is preferably light. The Strong2 is particularly stable in the heel, but the density of the EVA in the midsole is noticeably softer and lighter than other stability shoes I've run in. The Fulcrum post in the midsole influences my striking in a way that feels like I'm being poured into my forefoot, but not in an intrusive way. I'm less of a heel striker and more of a mid to forefoot. These shoes are light as a feather (606grams = 1.33lbs per pair). This is the 2nd generation of a 2009 Runners World "Best Debut" award winner.
