Say goodbye to sloppy seams and unnerving board chatter with Karakoram Splitboard Clips. They feature a patent-pending latch system that pulls the two halves of your splitboard together, rather than just holding them next to each other, so that you can enjoy a torsionally stiffer and more solid ride that will improve control and boost your confidence in technical terrain.

  • Latch system firmly secures the board halves together for the tightest board seam possible, improving control and eliminating chatter
  • Same mounting pattern as Voile so you can swap out without drilling additional holes

Rock Solid Connection

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

One of my splitboards is a very soft, fully-rockered Lib-Tech. Super fun on pow days, but very iffy when snow conditions degrade. I had it setup with basic Voile DIY hardware. Earlier this year, I bought the K clips to see if any torsional rigidity could be added. The answer; absolutely YES. I would not have dared riding a squishy, rockered split down the couloir pictured below without the K-clips.

Seriously, the clips took 45 minutes to install. That included "heating out" the epoxy from my Voile hook hardware, which most of you will not have to do. Same screw pattern and size as Voile hooks, so you do not need hardware if you are upgrading from them. You can adjust the clips as a board breaks in, which is necessary with plastic puck and binding friction or interior seam friction over time.

If you want to extend the life of an old split, or rip serious terrain without shelling out serious cash for a factory split, go with K clips!

Solid Clips

These clips are adjustable that makes ahuge difference when it comes to connection the only question I see is how tight is too tight. I got mine as tight as I could and they really seal the to sides. Really easy install, they come withtemplates but the screws and bolts need to be purchased separately.

Massive Clamping Force

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

There is no better way to connect your splitty than with the K-Clips. If your board lacks rigidity this will improve it. It's re-assuring to feel the connection these clips offer.

That said there are some drawbacks. 1) The hardware may need to be modified. I ended up shortening some of the bolts to keep from having exposed threads above the nut. 2) These are SCREAMING for a glove-friendly pull tab. I'm really surprised at how hard it is to unlatch with a glove on.

Adjustable tension helps fine-tune the clamping force on your "skillfully" cut DIY or a variety of factory splits.

My entire quiver is upgraded to these, no exceptions for me.

I saw a vid on the Karakoram site. The owner of the company put a pull tab (like on a jacket zipper) on his for work with gloves when it's cold.

Do these come with the harware (screws etc) to attach?

Definitely recommend these

These clips reduce that chatter you tend to get when splitting with an older board and gives it a more sturdy ride. A lot of boards come with these clips nowadays and I can see why.

These are the new models correct? Meaning for the 2013/2014 season if so I would update the current picture with this one considering the new models come with tension adjustment.

tightest one yet

the must have for your DIY split set up. If you're connection isn't 100% these do the job of pulling the planks together tightly. Board response was vastly improved.
