Description

A bright and comfy boot for dreary days.

Kamik gave the sleek and stylish Women’s Heidi Boot just the right outsole for traction on rain-slick surfaces. A smooth, lightweight PVC upper adds some shine to the bleak city streets, and the slightly raised one-inch heel means you still look more like a lady than an Alaskan fisherman. Comfy footbeds and fully waterproof outers make the Heidi Boot your new favorite boot for walking through the park on a wet day. 11-Inch shafts hit just below the knee.

I am looking into these boots for "clean the creek" events. Has anyone used them in higher levels or water (more then just a puddle but still below knee level) and exited with completely dry feet?

That only happens in an alternate universe. By the time you bend, reach, move, splash...you always get water inside your boots. If it's something you'll be doing a lot, get a pair of fisherman's hip waders if you want to stay dry. If you don't mind getting wet, but still want some protection for your feet, get a pair of water shoes. Plan C is to bring an extra dry pair of socks, shoes and a towel, because Murphy's Law guarantees that you'll either get water in your boots yourself or someone will do it for you.

These boots are stylish, lightweight, and comfortable. I like to wear them with a pair of socks for added comfort. I can wear them for hours around the house without my feet hurting.

I've read a lot about Kamiks and seen then in stores, was so excited to have my own pair. First off, I love the fact that they are made in Montreal (being from Montreal I like supporting a local business!)and they are environmentally conscious. You can send your worn boots in for them to melt down and reuse. All of their black matte boots and soles are made from that recycled rubber. Kamik boots are extremely well constructed, you can tell it's a high quality product that stands out from other rain boots by its high gloss shine and well molded contour. There are "How it's made" videos on Youtube and on Kamik's website showing how this footwear is produced which makes it even more interesting to own a pair.
I love how stylish these look, definitely not your farmer's or fishermen boots. They fit well although I suggest going a size up. I typically wear a 9 or 9.5 and had to get these in 10. I'm able to tuck my skinny jeans in and they feel comfy around my calves. Kamik makes a taller model as well as a wider width model of this exact rain boot by the way. The only drawback is that the bigger your size, the heavier the boot. I wore these for a good 10 hours both indoors in the office and outside and felt that my feet dragged a bit, maybe something to get used to. However, they are lighter in weight compared to many rubber boots that have a chunkier heel.
I would recommend these because they're lovely, Canadian, and obviously keep your feet dry.

I settled on these rain boots after some research into more trendy (re: expensive) options. I ended up buying these on a whim, and I have been very happy with them. They are warmer than I expected - a good thing. I haven't walked for more than a mile or so in them, but they seem like they'd be comfortable enough to walk longer distances. Would definitely recommend the jolly yellow color!

I love these boots! They are extremely comfortable and form fitting. I got the classic yellow look, and I am completely and utterly in love with them.

Love these boots! Light weight and yet durable with good traction. I bought these boots to wear to the kids' football and soccer games - feet stayed dry and warm (because I bought one size larger so that I can wear thick socks). I'm only 5'1" and I liked the fact that these boots were the perfect height! Would highly recommend them! (Note: I tried the Kamik boots in a store so that I knew what size to get online).

I love these rain boots. They're surprisingly light and have good traction, not the clunky boots I'm used to. Good fit for my feet - and I didn't expect 'fit' from a rain boot - slimmer around the heel but plenty of wiggle room for toes. Plus, they're happy and fun and yellow.

I bought these boats for a rafting trip. Forecast lots of rain, and I wanted dry feet in camp. I loved them, comfy, stylish, and they had the added bonus of keeping my feet dry getting on/off the boat while in camp. I wore them a lot more than I thought I would.
