Adrian Ballinger Climbs Three 8000 Meter Peaks in Three Weeks

Adrian Ballinger, Marmot Athlete and Lead Guide for Alpenglow Expeditions and Himalayan Experience, reached three 8,000 Meter summits in three weeks in May, 2011. First while assisting in rope-fixing Mt. Everest (29,035 feet), then while guiding clients up Mt. Everest, and finally while guiding clients up Lhotse (27,940 feet). Along the way Adrian filmed his journey - here are some of those clips.

The Klay is a great addition to the Kaenon line up

The Klay is one of the newest styles to the Kaenon style choices - This is going to be one of the best fitting men's pieces if you like the fuller coverage and deeper lens shape. The SR-91 lens is hands down the best lens on the market - as clear as a glass lens and the polarization is incredible - better polarization than any polycarbonate polarized lens out there (the SR-91 lens filters much more glare than other lenses so it is WAY more comfortable to wear). If you are on the fence I'd say go for it - you won't regret it!!!

      Kaenon Klay Great New Addition

I got my Kaenon Klay shades last month and they're exactly what I was looking for in terms of Fit, Style and Lens tint/clarity. I got the Matte Black G12 and really like the dark lenses (the "G" stands for Grey) and the matte finish - they have a cool, low key look to them. The G12 lens excels in bright sun. For my med-large face, the Klay is an even better fit and noticeably lighter than my previous Kaenons, the Lewi. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a high-quality sunglass that can go anywhere and do anything.

Rob - just wondering if the Klay's were bigger or smaller than the lewi's? I have the lewi now and was looking for something a little larger and wasn't sure if the Klay was the way to go.

I have the Lewis and the Klays. Lewis are little larger all around: slightly longer arms, taller lenses, wider fit, etc. They're pretty similar but the Klays are a just a bit more streamlined & snug.
