The Kaenon Bolsa Sunglasses have polarized lenses in a thick, lightweight frame that stylishly gets you from your morning trail run to the afternoon's errands. The Bolsa Sunglasses' lenses are Kaenon's renowned SR-91 material—not glass or polycarbonate--this lightweight lens has razor sharp optic clarity, impact-resistance, and a hydrophobic coating that sheds water from the surface. The molded TR-90 frame is square-shaped and fits small to medium faces. This lightweight frame has Kaenon's skeletal memory retention giving you the best fit on every run.

Bottom Line: The Kaenon Bolsa Sunglasses shade your eyes on trail runs or errand runs.

Best fit and great lenses

Small face fit glasses are really hard to come by but these are perfect. They have a fashionable square shape to the lenses but they don't overwhelm my face like most BIG glasses do, these fit so well. The lenses are to die for clear; I don't think I've ever loved my sunglasses so much until now. If you are considering Kaenon - I'd definitely say to give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

I can't comment specifically on the Bolsa, but I really like the Kaenon SR-91 polarized lenses for fishing. Obviously, no lens is going to allow you to see through murky water; what polarized sunglasses can do is allow you to see through the surface glare (to better see what's under the water). I've tried polarized glasses by many manufacturers (Oakley, Maui Jim, Action Optics, Bolle, Smith, etc.) yet haven't found any that top Kaenon polarized. It's also important to find sunglasses that fit your face well and don't let in too much light around (or below) the lenses. Also, there are different lens colors, as well as lenses that let in more/less light, so one lens may work best on bright and sunny days, while another will work better on overcast days (or once the sun is off of the water).

Worth the Sticker Shock

These are pretty expensive glasses, but they’re worth the money. Even on bright sunny days, these glasses will keep you from squinting but give great visibility. On cloudy days they'll make everything look sunny and clear.

Kaenon Bolsa - Best Sunglasses for Smaller Faces

By: Backcountry.com Employee
September 5, 2009

I have a very hard time finding sunglasses that fit my relatively small face, and the Bolsa is the best I've ever found. I'd say these are slightly narrower than the Smith Method, and for me are a better fit. Other than that, they are a very similar frame shape. The Kaenon lenses are top of the line, and everything is very crisp. I also won't buy anything that isn't polarized. The lenses do not seem as dark as others I've worn, though I never find myself squinting, even in the brightest of light. It seems that enough of the visible light is blocked to keep your eyes relaxed while the visuals remain bright. This also means that these do well in a wider range of light conditions (better than others in lower light). My only complaint is that I sometimes see the top and bottom of the frames in the upper and lower range of my peripheral vision. I highly recommend Keanon sunglasses, and these are the best choice for those with smaller faces.

As a side note, the C lenses are Copper colored and the G grey. All lenses offered in the Bolsa frame let through 12% of visible light.
