How far back? Way back.

Your dawn patrol laps are nice, and the occasional weekend yurt trip is better, but you want something more. You want to get waaaay back. Slap on the K2 WayBack Ski and head for mystical and magical powder paradises beyond the reach of most backcountry skiers. This efficient ski is made for long days and loves climbing nearly as much as it loves untracked lines.

Thanks to its super-lightweight, skin-track-attackin' wood core —made of aspen, paulownia, and bamboo—the WayBack gets you out into the great white open; it's solid during descents, too. You know that when you are in the backcountry, you have to be prepared for a diverse array of conditions, and the All-Terrain rocker will help with that. It features 30% rocker in the tip for floating pow and breaking trail, as well as 70% traditional camber for maximum edge hold in icy chutes and sketchy skin tracks. Torsion box cap construction means you get a combination of technologies that provides strength and durability with a lightweight, easy-turning feel. Whether it's glacier routes or popping off high summit, the progressive sidecut adds to the predictable turnability. While every week can't be a get-the-heck-outta-Dodge ski week, the WayBack will be your go-to dawn patrol and yurt ski.
