very good so far - not only for K2 skis

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I used them the last two winters and they work pretty well with my Fischer Hannibal 100. The Z-Clip works perfect with these (they have the same tip hole like K2) and the strap holds it at the tail (without hole). The gliding performance could be a little bit better but I am happy with these climbing skins.

Great Attachment System..Terrible Glide

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought these for my 181cm K2 Coombacks and was excited to try out K2's tip and tail attachment system. The system is great but I did find that the tail attachment would get loose after a while and doesn't have defined notches like the BD system. The worst thing about this skin is the glide is pretty much non existent. They sure do grip well but don't glide worth a damn, even after an extensive break-in period. Didn't have glue issues like others but I wouldn't buy these again until they start using a different material. Ended up with BD mohair mix and they are leaps and bounds better.

New design much different!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are a new design all around compared to the past few years (blue climbing skins direct version). First, I do like the new tip attachment. The older z-clip metal would bend after repeated laps peeling skins with skis still on. However, the better designed z-clip doesn't override my 1 star review because a good tip & tail attachment is worthless without good glue! I agree with other reviews these are good for warmer weather. But even keeping these skins in my jacket the glue stops sticking after 2 or 3 laps (and I am super careful not to get snow on my glue). I am super bummed about this because I have 4 different models of K2 skis and really like the tip/tail attachment and pre-cut for some of my other models.

Smooth, durable, dependable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have used these skins for a few seasons now, and they have not failed me. great grip, maybe not the best glide, but I think they have the best ski attachment system going. I ski with a dog a ton and he has never popped off the tails walking on my skis, which says alot. The trim tool does a great job to give a custom skin pretty easily.

Will this skin fit the K2 ultra split split board ? 161 cm.

Yes, just bought some for my ultrasplit 161 and the 160s fit. the tail clip is not at the ideal angle but it seems like it will work. My only complaint so far is that the skin cutter seems to have a cheap blade in it which makes it more of a pain than it should be

Does the Z-tip on K2 skins fit the attachment points of Fischer's Hannibal skis?
