    Precise and powerful.

Ultimate adjustability meets powerful energy transfer within the K2 Men's Thraxis Boa Snowboard Boot. Stiff enough for serious freeride enthusiasts, the Thraxis delivers high levels of energy transfer desired by hard-charging riders looking to straight-line steeps, carve with precision, and ride faster than anyone on the mountain. Its burly Vibram ProLite sole offers grippy traction over the slipperiest packed snow and roughest alpine terrain, ensuring you don't slip off the mountain when you're hiking.

More adjustable than virtually any boot on the market, the Thraxis features three separate Boa dials for complete control over the shell's upper and lower zones, as well as the boot's internal lacing. The Boa Focus system delivers dual-zone tightening for dialing in your ideal fit over the upper and lower zones. Keep them as tight as possible for the utmost in response and control, or loosen the upper section for a bit more freedom to play around on the mountain. Controlling the Thraxis' internal lacing, K2's patented Boa Conda offers on-the-fly liner adjustments. This independent lacing system is threaded through a floating tongue guide to comfortably lock down your ankle and heel from lifting. This means more response for charging at high speeds without excess slop or unwanted heel lift.

The boot's Intuition Pro Foam 3D liner is fully heat moldable for a truly custom fit without pressure points. Moldable internal J-bars lock-down your heel to prevent unwanted lift or excess movement within the boot. Absorbing impact, the dual-density EVA footbed cushions the blow of heavy landings with its Harshmellow dampening. And because the Thraxis is meant for hardcore use and abuse, K2 engineered it with an Endo urethane exoskeleton that resists breakdown and retains flex better than traditional stitch-and-glue construction.

    Totally Rad Boot

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Bought this for my fiance and he has only great things to say about it: "Amazing features for the price. Have never ridden a boot with such adjustability. Very stiff out of the box and takes some breaking in, but highly worth it. The 3-zone BOA system is cutting edge. I really like the ability to keep my boots loose while touring up and then tighten them down when I'm ready to descend. Great for backcountry touring and all mountain riding. Flex: 9 out of 10."

    Awesome

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

great boots, despite the fact that it was on first time tight and it was really painful to ride (I have 28 cm foot and bought 10.5 thraxis, because from my previous experience boot always widens a bit), I hope the boot will widen after several experience.
I bought this boot for its stiffness and ankle support, both this qualities this boot has, it is really stiff and ankle support is awesome.
I know what I'm talking about, because I had severe ankle injury last season and it was mostly caused by boots' softness. Thraxis has great support and condo system really works, I didn't believe to it initially, but it really works

    Buddy that rips

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I picked these up for a friend's birthday and In twenty plus years of snowboarding, he says this is easily the best boot he's used. It performs exactly as it should. Comfortable and lightweight. Easy on and off. Appears to be very durable. After a few hours of breaking in they are ready to ride. Boa system works well with this boot, also. Very stiff for fast charging with lots of all mountain power.

For wider feet, otherwise good design

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I'd heard that K2 run wide but others said the Thraxis could dial in to any foot/heel. Unfortunately that was not the case. Even when I sized down half size from street shoe, the boot was short but my foot still was loose even when fully dialed in. If your foot runs wide, this could be a really nice option.

    Stiff and comfortable!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've looked at lots of reviews and decide to try this boot. It is really stiff and fast response. three boa makes it there is no gap in the boot. Its tight enough for fast response and comfortable. I've tried ride trident and thirtytwo jones as well. This is better than those.
