Being a softer edition of K2's new Spyne series, the K2 Men's Spyne 110 Ski Boot is a forgiving all-mountain boot with plenty of backbone to drive wide freeride skis down those more technical lines. This boot may be softer than the hard-charging 130 flex version of the Spyne, but K2 threw in all the bells and whistles to keep the boot responsive enough to ski hard. This particular version of the Spyne has a slightly roomier fit with a 100mm last and will accommodate medium wide feet without squeezing your toes to death.
K2 employed its E3 design philosophy in the construction of the Spyne, meaning the boot features an interlocking shell and cuff for a more progressive forward-flexing feel that is also able to better absorb vibrations for a smoother feel when skiing. The E3 design also uses a Y-shaped reinforcement that extends from the rear of the cuff to the heel of the shell to increase lateral stiffness and help make the forward flex of the boot more predictable. The Spyne comes with a thermo-moldable Intuition liner to keep the boot snug and warm, while the four micro-adjustable buckles and 45mm power strap work to deliver a tight and responsive fit once you're ready to lock your boots down and point 'em down the mountain.
