K2 Snowboards Turbo Dream Snowboard - 2010 BCS

The K2 Turbo Dream is a great all around snowboard. I ride it out in Colorado with the Burton Cartels and it is a great setup for an everyday all mountain board. With K2’s All Terrain Rocker It handles all conditions that I have thrown at it very well, everything from powder, groomers and even a few laps through the park.

This is a great board from a great company. It keeps up with the typical K2 build quality. The reason I saw it's a Pacific North West quiver killer is because of the type of snowboarding that happens 80% of the time here.. freshies. The Turbodream preforms well on all surfaces and excels when you are in deeper snow. When there is no fresh snow to be had it still rides great all over the mountain. A problem most pow designated boards (like the Gyrator) have are that they become handful on your way to and from the powder, not a problem the Turbodream has. It really does turn the whole mountain into a playground. But.. as someone said on here the Turbodream is not the best choice for areas like the midwest where fresh powder happens 5 days a year and the rest you spend on groomers and ice.

I rode this board all season in Vermont and Maine, and it shreds. If you can get use to the whole anti-camber thing theres lots of pop to be had in the park, great for jibs, ollies over slow signs, presses well, lots of forgiveness landing dirty on big spins, great in pow (even has pop, something that my burton dominant lacks). I got this baby up to 64 mhp without any speed wobbles. K2 hooked it up with a pro-form, so I couldn't be happier. Navigates thick glades like a dream and bounces off pillows like its meant to. Riding a 156 at 5'7'' 165 lbs with a pair of burton cartels.

I did a lot of research on the internet and searched all over for an All-Mountain Board that would suite my needs. I'm glad I finally settled and invested on the K2 Turbo Dream 153cm. I'm 5'5" 165lbs w/size 7.5 boot and it suites me just fine. I decided to wrap this puppy with a couple of K2 CTX Bindings using Burton Rulers. Awesome combination!!

It's weird because when the board was delivered to me at home, I thought I would be getting one that had a green-colored base, but it ended-up being black. No complaints- I'm all for it! Backcountry told me that it's a crapshoot on what color you would get. Anyways, I took this baby out on the Bunny-slope for some fine-tuning, and after adjusting bindings, I was ready to rock. All I can say is that the board and I are now one!! I started-out as a beginner and now have advanced to intermediate before the day was done.

This board was awesome and the response was effortless. Having it waxed also helped as well. I never caught an edge on this board and only fell twice (once for running over a divot on the ground and the other was voluntary after legs were cramping like a mother-F).

I recommend this board for beginner to intermediate riders and perhaps advance, if you know how to do all the tricks. This is something that you can have for many years down the road. Get this board- you'll won't be disappointed! K2 really puts a lot of effort in designing the right board.

Definitely reccomend this board!! I previously purchased a Jeremy Jones ALL MOUNTAIN TWIN board!! Well that one SUCKED! So I decided to go back to K2!! I am not regretting it at all!! Great all mountain board.. Took it up to Brighton yesterday and have been loving it.. It is a bit stiff, but playful and forgiving! So all mountain it is. Really good for Jibbing the mountain. Brighton did not have much of a park so I can't say it did great in the park.. nor was there any good deep pow stashes so I will update that later! For now though I am very satisfied with my TURBo DREAm!! Specially since it saved me from that nightmare of a JONES board(don't believe the hype about that board)! ONCE AGAIN thanks BACKCOUNTRY!!!!!!!!!

Always ridden cambered boards and wondered what all the hoopla was about with everybody offering parabolic shapes. I also was becoming a little tired of sticking the nose of my cambered boards into a pile of powder and planting face in snow. So I bought the Turbo Dream just as a powder board to float above where I had previously dived below. As it turns out, I ride it all the time, in all conditions.
The parabolic shape delivered as promised in the powder, but what I really like is the virtually effortless edge-to-edge transition on the steeps, and carving down the groomers. It is noticeably looser than the cambered clan which lends the feeling that you could do anything on any part of the mountain. Just go play! The loose feel is also a bonus in the gullies, where I like to swoop about. It is more forgiving in some situations, like when you need to lay the board down to maintain speed on those dreaded flat spots, the edges seem less likely to catch and take you down. It is plenty fast, although I suppose it does lack the flat-out drive of a cambered board, and maybe it slides sideways a little more on hard/icy turns. All in all, I love it, and I have not used my cambered board since I bought it.
The K2 Turbo Dream is a most excellent all mountain board.

Demoed this board last season. What can I say, its the bees knees. It does it all . Great for skiing in Utah and like areas. I loved the versatility that the Turbo Dream offers.
