The K2 Standard Snowboard is a no-nonsense ride that's designed for beginner-to-intermediate riders looking to progress their carving skills without the catchy feel of a traditional cambered deck. The board's directional twin shape is moderately set-back for straight-line stability when you're riding down groomers or even floating through a bit of fresh snow. Designed with K2's Catch Free baseline, you'll find the Standard is completely flat underfoot for straight tracking and stability. Subtle rockered zones raise the contacts (i.e. zones just before the tip and tail) off the snow to prevent you from catching an edge when you're linking heel and toeside turns. Ultimately, this helps you progress without the harsh consequences of catching an edge unexpectedly and painfully slamming on your backside.

Looking inside this beginner-friendly board, you'll find a W1 wood core that's wrapped in biax fiberglass for easy turn initiation without excess stiffness holding you back. Another cool feature with this board is its three-degree edge bevel. This three-degree bevel lifts the metal edges off the snow just enough to prevent the board from feeling catchy without sacrificing edge hold on firm snow and groomed runs. Additionally, you'll find an easy-to-fix, low-maintenance extruded 2000 base for a fast glide over a wide variety of snow conditions.
