Get a better view of what the mountains have to offer outside the resort with the K2 Panoramic Splitboard. The Panoramic features an array of technology to get you charging pristine powder—take a look and see for yourself.

The All Terrain Baseline profile is mostly flat for stability, with more rocker at the tip to keep you afloat in deep snow and less rocker at the tail to prevent wheelies when landing. Carbon Web II carbon stringers improve power transfer to make the board more responsive for greater control at high speeds, which is what you want when pointing it down ass-puckering couloirs. They used a Bambooyah bamboo core for its high strength-to-weight ratio and poppy feel, plus it's a highly sustainable natural resource, so bonus points to K2 for eco-friendliness.

A directional shape and setback stance floats better in powder, and it allows for more powerful carves and quicker direction changes. The sintered base is fast to keep you flying down steeps and cruising across flats, and it's extremely durable to withstand the occasional sneak attack from buried rocks. So unless you enjoy getting cut off by gapers in one-pieces every day, take the scenic route on the Panoramic.

Pillow poppin', pow slashing good time

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased the 154 K2 Panoramic to use as my "playful" split board. It was to be the splitty for those days when the the 158 uber directional pow board was just too dang much. I wanted something to be poppy off pillows and quick like a bunny through tight trees. The Panoramic delivered on all my desires and more, this snowboard is gosh darn fun. It is super responsive, poppy, and floats well on those deeper days because of the early rocker in the nose.

So while riding this board is a dream, skinning with it is also a good time. The K2 skin interface is totally rad. After years of awkward tail clips, and meticulously cutting skins, there is something pretty great about getting the skins in the mail absolutely ready to go. No adding tail clips, no cutting skins to fit, it is truly an evolution in split boarding. Never have I have the skins fall off or not stick, they are solid.

I held back on the fifth star because while the base is quite bomber and low snowpacks in some areas this year have put it to the test, the top sheep leaves a little to be desired. The very tip of the nose is starting to de-lam just a bit. I am going to to a little repair and hopefully she will be good as new. I am not too surprised or upset with this small defect because the price was so good (I got a screaming deal with the skins included).

Overall, for the price, this is an amazing snowboard. Fun ride, solid skinner, and effortless set up make the K2 Panoramic a great choice for your next splittly.
