Expand your horizons.

The old adage 'good things come to those who wait' rings true with the long-awaited K2 Panoramic Splitboard Kit. After three years in development, the Panoramic Kit includes what you need to become a backcountry action figure: the Panoramic Splitboard, Voile binding attachment system (plates, discs, and clips), and custom, pre-cut K2 skins with integrated attachment points on the boards tips and tails. Now you have no excuse to not have the best season ever.

  • All-Terrain Rocker (70% flat, 30% rocker) offers plenty of float in the pow yet is still responsive and stable enough to handle hardpack and crud
  • Bambooyah Blend core features strategically-placed bamboo strips for extra durability, light weight, and eco-friendliness
  • No time for slippin'—the Panoramic features fully wrapped steel edges, for increased traction while side-stepping
  • Carbon Web stringers under the bindings add sensitive response and increased ollie-power
  • Hyper Progressive sidecut combines several different radii to be smooth and hook-free on the nose and tail, and tight and controlled between the feet
  • 4000 Sintered is durable, absorbs and retains wax superbly, and is the fastest natural base material available
  • Features the artwork of Mike Shine. Check out more of his curated creepiness at

all round board

If you can only afford one board for the resort and BC then this board is the one. It works awesome on groomers, resort trees and excels in the bc too. Yes it is a little heavy for the resort but like I said...if you can have only does it all

This is unreal!
The value alone makes this set up a no brainer!
You get a splitboard, voile hardware mounting system, a 2yr warranty, and precut skins ($200 value) all for $900!!!!

Check out K2 on Youtube for more:

I personally used this splitboard set up with Search & Rescue and was not disappointed! the Ptex topsheet makes this so durable while skinning and riding. It covers all the bases, amazing float in the powder, prefect amount of flat for great skin traction, and b/c its built as a solid snowboard then split in half it rides like a dream!
And if that wasnt enough, K2 took a safety note by making their Rescue Plus Shovel, integrate with the Split Kit to make a Rescue Sled for emergency evacuations.

K2 is taking it back to their roots on this one, and their roots are strong!

Sick Split

This package is a great value. The panoramic rides great and has excellent build quality. I love the Z clip system its easy to use and the skins rarely come off. I used both the conversion plates and the sparks split specific bindings and I would high recommend the sparks. Karakoram makes an awesome binding system as well but they are pricey.

Using split specific bindings means you don't need the Sliding plates right?

Responded on

Correct the sparks slide right onto the pucks and Karakoram uses their own interface.

Responded on

that's correct...the slider plate is built into the split specific bindings making them much lighter...

I'm going on my first back country trip...

I'm going on my first back country trip in Alaska for 28 days in April and I'm not sure about everything that I need in order to make it happen. What all will I need in addition to this board kit to make sure I am prepared?

1. Can I use any snowboard binding with this board or is there any type you would recommend over another?

2. Can I use my normal boots or do I need ski boots?

3. Do you have any other tips or suggestions for a first timer in the back country?

Anything that you can tell me would be helpful. Thanks a bunch!

Responded on

Hey there, this kit will have everything needed on the snowboard side... you can use your regular snowboard bindings and boots... pick up some poles a probe and shovel!

I have a K2 Panoramic Split 168 that I have used a few days so far this lean season. To test it out properly I headed south at Teton Pass for a tour which involves much sidehilling, normally a dread for splitboarders with soft boots, but not this time. The Panoramic held steady on the firm slope due to the torsional stiffness, which I believe K2 has focused on having incorporated into their splits for this very reason. Well, it works. The Spark Boots and Bindings helped as well.

The special skin clips that come with the K2 Split make the transitions that much faster and they are bomber!

The Panoramic is a bit heavier than I would like but that being said, this board is built to last many seasons of backcountry schralping. I have ridden lighter splitboards and they end up breaking after a couple seasons. Strength to weight is always the trade off and when I am on a serious slope with cliffs below, I will take a little extra weight to have the confidence and security of a solid ride underfoot.

The torsional stiffness of the Panoramic made the ride feel a bit less playful than I like for a powder stick. But I can see how that same stiffness could save a ton of energy on a big ascent, possibly even facilitating the window for the summit before having to descend.

Bottom line: a reasonably priced and stout splitboard that will last many seasons of splitboard adventuring.

does this board come with the split kit that will allow you to use any snowboard binding or do you need to use voile bindings?

Responded on

Hey Nick, this setup comes with the Voile rotating stance system; you can use your normal bindings (mounted to the top of the grey metal slider plates you see in the pic) or use splitboard bindings...

K2 made a Splitboard?

This board rips! Super playful, great float, tight seams and light! (yeah, I said it)
The integrated skins are awesome, not necessary if you already have some Tractor skins. They fit perfect and eliminate that fear of them sliding off the back on wet traverses. Climbs great with lots of on snow contact. If I could afford another board this season it would be one just like this but not split.
Just be careful, its backcountry for a reason...

does the board come with the voile kit setup as regular and not goofy or do you set it up when you get it?

Responded on

Same question. I'm looking for a gift for my son. Don't know much about snowboards. Can I get it goofy?

Responded on

Chris, yes you can. Splitboards take some time in set up to get the stance dialed in just right. this should work out just fine. Be sure he has bindings to set up on the plates.

take yourself DEEPER then ever before

Everything about this splitboard will blow you away.

K2 basically took their every popular and amazingly designed Trubodream and turned it into a mountain mans dream.

Put together a 70%/30% flat to rocker profile, 20 Stringers of carbon fiber, and the only production split board that is actually cut in half after its made as one whole deck(rather than making 2 individual planks). You will not find a more phonemail ride while descending down the mountain.

The Ascending process has also been taken up a notch. Running the Volie splitboard mounting system for ease, K2 has also taken a note from their creditable ski history and integrated an unbeatable pre-drilled skin mounting system. They have even brought their Ptex top-sheet concept from the WWW into the panoramic to help protect your top-sheet from yourself while u head up to the line of the day!

Oh yeah if this all being included in the Panoramic Package wasnt enough, they also offer the Philchuck Kit which includes backpack, shovel and probe which can all be used with your splitboard as a rescue sled.
