More than just a small men's split board.
With its own women-specific flex patterns and waist width, the K2 Women's Northern Lite Splitboard is a giant leap in backcountry technology for women. It's skinning-friendly Ultratech construction, skins-ready Z-Clip attachments, and new Split Track mounting system that's easy to use with any setup but ideal for K2's new super-fast, lightweight Kwicker binding system make it every adventurous woman's backcountry shred stick of choice.
What makes the board even more special is the new Split Track mounting; instead of rows of holes that you need to painstakingly line up with your binding, the twin channels make it fast and easy to set the angles on your Voile setup. Its pinless design is much more glove-friendly, so you don't have to deal with frozen digits in the backcountry. But where it really shines is with the new K2 Kwicker system. Essentially a step-in binding system re-imagined, it eliminates the need for separate bindings and binding plates. To strap in, you simply pop out the binding, click in with your Kwicker Stark boots (sold separately) and go. To speed up the transition process even more, the Northern Lite includes Z-Clip notches at the tip and tail of the board that pre-cut skins (sold separately) hook into quickly and securely. It all comes together to create a better splitboard that gets you on the trail earlier, ready to ride more quickly, and more confident when you drop in.

I just got this board and there is a 2mm...
I just got this board and there is a 2mm gap down the entire board between the two sides when it is fastened together. I have never seen this on a split board. Most boards I've seen fasten tightly together. Only the last 8inches or so of tip and tail meet on fastening. I initially thought this was a flaw with how the board is cut but want to verify if there is a reason for this? Haven't ridden the board yet, I am worried it will be chattery.
That sounds like a defect for sure. Could contact K2 directly and see if thats how they're made. But not since the original "split decision" have I heard of intentionally leaving a gap in the board.
