Since they're perfectly pre-cut to fit pro-skier Seth Morrison's K2 SideSeth skis, the SideSeth Climbing Skins are ready to tour right out of the box.

  • Sizes: 174, 181, 188cm
  • K2's Z-Clip attachment system provides you with a secure self-centering attachment that reduces weight and allows for quick transition on the ascent
  • Adjustable tail straps also center the ski and sit on top of it to eliminate drag and friction for improved glide and efficiency

They are not meant to be trimmed, but you could pull it off probably. First, you need to be using a K2 ski with the tip attachment, so you should probably just get the right skin for your ski. But if you find yourself in a pinch, you could always cut the back of the skin straight across at the desired length and then grab a Black Diamond STS kit and throw a tail attachment on. I'm sure this completely voids all warranties for the skins, the attachment and everything that comes within 10 feet of them, but I bet it would work.

Really nice

I have the skins for the 2012 Obsethed (sorry sno2540470 I don't know where to get more) and assuming only the shape has changed to fit the new SideSeths, these are great skins. The pile seems durable and they climb really well. Haven't gone on any long tours with them so I can't comment on climb vs. glide. The attachment points make transitions a breeze for running laps, plus with the pre-cut dimensions they fit perfectly.

Bottom line, if you have SideSeths or any other ski that K2 has pre-cut skins for, buy them and forget about it!

Easy

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Doesn't get any easier to set up skins than this. Peel away factory plastic and off you go. Obviously this goes with a K2 SideSeth. Connection points from ski to ski are solid. Must have for those that tour. Durable.

I have your obsetheds from 2 years ago... any recommendation on where to find pre-cut skins or if trim to fit would be the only current option. i have 179's, and can only find the 169's online

They may work, the length is the big concern, I think these run longer than the model your talking about. Meaning the rear strap won't go short enough to fit.

yes i was wondering the same thing, although i have your amazing Obsethed in 189, and if length isn't an issue i can always cut accordingly. do you have any suggestions?
