The K2 Women's SideKick Ski lives to tour the backcountry and make effortless turns through untracked sidecountry trees. This backcountry slayer comes equipped with an All-Terrain Rocker profile, 108mm waist, and solid Hybritech sidewall construction so you're able to straight-line past your pals as you lay claim to first tracks under the chair or outside the gates. Plus, thanks to its lightweight core, you're not completely spent when you reach the peak.

  • All-Terrain Rocker profile consists of an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance and camber underfoot for power, energy, and edgehold in firmer conditions
  • PowderTip design pulls the widest point of the tip further down the ski, which allows the ski to retain float in soft snow and minimize deflection in adverse snow conditions
  • Flat tail design provides backcountry utility by enabling you to plunge the tails easily into firm snow when you need to switch from tour to ski mode
  • K2 broke up the SideKick's strength into 70% for powder and 30% for variable snow
  • Bioflex 3 wood core (80% aspen and 20% paulownia, bamboo stringers) features a dense aspen core underfoot infused with lightweight paulownia at the tip and tail
  • Unique lightweight core design reduces swing weight and increases the ski's overall performance, strength, and durability
  • Hybritech construction brings the powerful edge-hold of vertical sidewalls and the durability, weight-savings, and smooth turn initiation of cap construction
  • Trixial braided construction consists of braided fiberglass around a wood core that provides torsional rigidity for added control
  • Triaxial braided construction delivers a forgiving and extremely responsive ski
  • Tip and Tail hardware functions as attachment points for your K2 SideKick Precut Skins (sold separately) and comes with a removable plug
  • Tip and Tail holes also allow you to build a rescue sled, construct various ski anchors, and carry less weight while increasing your safety margin

Great ski, very versatile

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got these skis for my AT setup and have been very pleased. They are extremely versatile and can be skied in bounds (although they get a little chattery on the cat tracks) as well as out of bounds. They turn easily and are a blast on powder days. I've ridden lighter touring skis before but prefer the durability and rocker in these. It's a little more work on the uphill but they make the descent far more enjoyable!

I bought these skis for my wife as a powder/sidecountry ski and I have a question regarding the mounting position of the bindings on the sidekicks. Typically I prefer my bindings in the -1 cm for all around use. I know every ski and skier is a bit different. We demo'd a bunch of different all mountain skis (mid 80mm waist)for my wife. Often she felt the skis were nervous when skied at centre and allowed her to relax when they were about 1cm back from centre. Has anyone messed around with fore/aft positions on the k2 sidekicks? Thanks
