She's Piste Telemark Ski - Women's

The K2 She's Piste was the first women's telemark ski, and it's still the choice for riders of all abilities who want a responsive ski for the hardpack. As the quickest-handling women's ski in the K2 telemark line, the She's Piste is ideal for learning to drop a knee or blasting through the trees and leaving the guys behind. Its Triaxial braided Bioflex core provides amazing response and edge control in everything from perfect corduroy to massive moguls. Enjoy.

Bottom Line: Don't get angry with some un-responsive ski. Put a big grin on your goggle-clad face with the K2 She's Piste Telemark Ski.

Not so much...

Let 'er rip... but maybe not on these. I'm a pro patroller, and like one of the other reviewers, for this price couldn't resist. I too have been tele'n for close to 20 years. And, like yet another reviewer, although no longer, have lots of East Coast time on my She's Piste.

This is my second pair of Pistes. I'm not usually the nay sayer, but I just DON'T think they do everything really well. I think they do lots of conditions OK. But I really believe this is first and foremost a touring ski. They are too light and chattery for a good in-bounds ski - especially on the super hard-pack to icy days. The She Devil or the Work Stinx are MUCH better suited. I tried pulling a toboggan on a powder day down a heavily bumped super steep... and I was miserable. Just, in my opinion, not the best ski if you are going to find yourself mostly in bounds and absolutely not the right ski if you are working professionally. Great beginner ski. Great if you are not super aggressive. Fun in the back-country. But even then... if you are a serious skier, you need at least a couple of pairs in your quiver, and I don't think this ski any longer has a place if you are to own more than one pair. Don't believe me, before you buy any ski, go and demo different designed skis in different conditions.

that depends on how you like to ski. personally i think the two sizes that are up for sale are either 2 big or 2 small. for an all round good size for you i would get something in a 165ish (little smaller, little bigger) the 153 is super short and you may only want if you are a total beginner, and the 174 would be a BIG ski for you. the best way to find out what size ski to get is to ski a bunch and find out what size you like, though i know you would be happy with a 165ish.

PERFECT EASTERN SKI

By:
February 13, 2008

I skied these in Vermont for a season and loved them. They are lightning quick edge-to-edge in the bumps, and can hold their own carving GS turns on hardpack. I just moved to Jackson Hole and have skied them on huge powder days where they are a little trickier, but they still get the job done. These were my first telemark ski and were great to learn on, and I still love them now skiing aggressively in any terrain.

still my favorite ski

i have been telemarking for 20 years plus, and this is truly one of my favorite skis. i have skied these for years, and since last year, the schii devil too. but at this price, i couldn't resist picking up another pair of the pistes. i ski very aggressively and on all terrain - steeps, bumps, trees, and lots and lots of powder. they ski effortlessly and handle everything very well. i have no problems with them on the deeper days, and they hold a great edge on the hard pack as well. if you want a ski that is just plain fun ALL the time, this is a great choice. beginner or expert, you will be extremely happy.
