Great Powder Ski

A couple weeks ago, I demoed these skis up in Telluride and they were amazing. They have great float in the pow, theyre maneuverable, and they blow through crud. Slightly heavier than my Public Enemies, but once riding them, you couldn't even tell, no matter what conditions. The flex is perfect and allows for soft landings on powder and hardpack and is the reason this ski charges in crud. Also, it has nice control skiing switch, not to mention the sick graphics. I liked them so much I just bought a pair.

If you launch off of huge kickers, like deep pow, and like to have the most obnoxious ski's on the mountain, these are the skiis for you. Great for park, better for the pow. Horrible on the ice, too wide. If you're a bigger skier look for something a little more stiff, because they have a tendency to bounce around in the crud.

I rode this ski for most of the year last year (I received a pair on early release) and it was a true blast. Great on the groomers, awesome in the park, and incredible in the back country. If you like to ski fast, aggressive, and are involved in the progressive ski movement towards riding switch and in the park, this ski will absolutely kill it! Look no further!

Although not a huge fan of skis with so much cut, these skis were good in crud, pow, heavy slop and variable soft snow. Not so good on ice, but who cares about that. Not as stiff as my usual skis, but it performed just as well and was light and energetic.

The Pistol performs like a Hummer without using as much gas. Obviosly it's good in fresh dumps, but it's most amazing in tracked out powder. Instead of being thrown off by the tracks, my Pistols (189cm) can cruise right over the top. The 95mm waist is also a good platform for landing tricks in the park. However, I've had to develop my own style when I ski the grooms or the bumps. The ski's rigidity is limited to the middle of the stick, so I'm forced to turn the ski almost completely sideways for the edges to grip. It feels cool to ski like that, but I probably look like an old man from the lift. While the ski performs like a hummer, it also looks like one. It stands out from the crowd and I feel like fancy pants mcgee with neon green sidewalls and chrome bullets that continually fall out. All this cosmetic hoopla needs to go before I can give the Pistol a five. But I didn't buy the skis for their looks, I bought it for performamce and the Pistol's is hard to top.

These things are sick...they're sweet on groomers, and way sick in the park...they are a definite eye catcher...people in the lift lines always looking!! Bottom line these things rip!! I love them I'm not going to ride on another ski EVER! PEACE

Bought these here and shipped to the UK. Awesome skis, if you're a more advanced skier, you'll never get anything better than these! Floating on powder, catching big airs with soft landings. A must have!

Most of you retards out there think that these skis are only good in the off piste but they're not and if people would stop being a**holes they would realize these skis are good throughout the whole mountain even if its groomers they just need speed to carve well so stop being dumba**es and realize these skis are more versatile then you bums think they are.

I bought pistols the first day out and they rip. I have upped my trick arsenal and my big mountain abilities with this ski. They rip through powder fields like butter and stick to the groomers pretty well also. Good swing weight and softness for kickers too.
tracked pow

Naturally great in the pow (as youd expect), surprisingly not too bad on the groomed, but the thing that surprised me was how easy they made it to ski boggy tracked pow which used to mean skiing super strong and not too fast and a 50/50 chance of cartwheeling at some stage. Now it is just as easy to put some big arcs down tracked pow as down a groomed run. Like the other guy said - I feel like a rock star.
Colorful but still rips

First off, Ive only skied on these once so far and that was in heavy April powder at Alta. The ski is basically a race stock, super-sidecut fat ski. Im coming from a K2 AK Enemy and the Pistols were definitely hard to get used to. Theyre super soft (which I like), tons of width, and the sidecut makes em rip groomers as hard as open powder bowls. I have to say I like my AK Enemy better for tight rock hopping but I can open up my turns a whole lot more with the Pistols. I actually think the graphics are pretty cool (once you get over the hot pink-neon green combo) and I like the fact theyre side-wall (no cap) and dont have all the other stupid gimmicks ski manufacturers throw on their production skis. The Pistols also have over-sized edges which totally rocks. Bottom line, pretty powder specific but still a rippin ski.

These are the greatest skis ever created. I demo'd pocket rockets in the 175 and 185, and they both felt kinda sluggish on groomers and really hard to turn in bumps. Seth Pistols are ridiculous all over the mountain, and noticeably better than PR's on groomers and bumps. The sidewalls and wood core of the Seth Pistols perform much better than the capped foam core of the PR's. Both skis are great, but Seth pistols are much better all mountain (even pretty solid in the park) and are a step above any other ski I'd tried. greatest ski ever

These skis kick. I just got back from a major trip up in Canada. They were awesome. Best skis I've ever had. Go out and buy yourself some. Peace, Homies.

What a difference these puppies made. There like rockets in the powder lots of lift and control. Landing airs has never been easier, I really can't say enough about these sticks.
Almost forgot , the biggest advantage was in the chopped powder, flying , I felt like a rock star. Not to shabby on the groomers to.
great for everything

I was out on my heli trip in BC last week and we built up a huge kicker and I threw a double back and landed straight to my feet. then after that we went up the mountain and shredded powder for the rest of the day. they are good for anything all mountain and all park.

Just got back to VA *sigh* from Utah. Got a couple feet of fresh powder while we were there, and these boards rocked! Being an east coaster, I haven't skiied much real powder in my life, but let me say, with these things under me, it took all of 2 or 3 turns to see the light! Took them into trees, bumps, knee to waist deep podwer stashes - they ripped everything, and I also took them down the occasional groomer, and they ripped there too. No doubt, you can't really go wrong with these unless all you ski is ice. Props to K2 and Seth for such an ungodly awesome ski! I'm getting older, and this ski just made it so easy to ski how I wanted and where I wanted. Buy a pair now! :P
