Potion 90XTi Ski - Women's

K2's Potion 90Xti Women's Ski should be used in moderation or you'll end up feeling dizzy, slightly confused, and smiling from ear to ear without quite being sure why; it's a heady blend of all-mountain performance, versatility, and power that's capable of ripping the resort to shreds or venturing through the gates to enjoy a tasty bite of untracked snow. It looks a lot like touring ski, with a blunt gradually rockered tip, a mostly flat tapered tail, and low camber underfoot, but it's built like a frontside ripper, with a sheet of metal on top of the strong and lively aspen, paulownia, and maple core. It also was built with K2's Baseline 2.0 Freeride Stability profile, which carefully matches the sidecut and camber profiles to provide easy float and turn initiation in the tip, predictable mid-radius turns underfoot, and solid hold and turn finishing through the tail.

The Potion's biggest trick, though, is its A.T. Rox technology. There's a MOD suspension system on top of the ski—K2 calls it a "secondary core"—that flexes independently, dampening the feel of the Potion and giving it a smooth, quiet ride without affecting the ski's actual flex. The MOD system works in conjunction with the Carbon Web layer, which is laid over the top of the entire package to increase torsional rigidity and direct power to the edges for aggressive turning when you run into hardpack. The Potion also comes with durable Hybritech sidewalls and tip and tail skin attachment grommets, so you can strap on some K2 skins and go hunting for fresh turns outside the resort boundaries if you're feeling a little exploratory.
