Whether you aspire to win park, slope-style, extreme, or snowboardcross comps, the K2 Podium Snowboard will help you get there. This K2 board's sidecut starts out mellow toward the tips and gets more aggressive near your feet, which gives you the stability to straight-line chutes in the backcountry and the responsiveness to handle quick, tight turns in the park. Carbon torsion forks in the tip and tail give you huge pop for ollies and lend the board an energetic feel. Even at top speed, you'll feel confident and in control thanks to the buttery smooth ride the Podium Snowboard's Multi-Wood core provides. The Podium's sintered 4000 base and one-degree base bevel offer superior glide, lessening the chance you'll get stuck on the flats on a long traverse. This board is the ideal ride for beginning to advanced boarders who blur the line between freeride and freestyle. NOTE: We can't control which color base you get. But we're confident you'll dig it. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: Ride the K2 Podium all-terrain freestyle board and take charge of the entire mountain.

the board's absolutely amazing. i've been riding it all year and i have absolutely no complaints, mine's a wide and it seems to control almost as good as a normal or mid-wide board. another plus about this board is that it's really fast and at the same time controls really well. i would definitely recommend this board to anyone.

Great first board

By:
January 17, 2008

I just picked up snowboarding and fell in love with the sport so I opted to outfit myself with a full set of snowboarding gear. I did a LOT of research on the type of board I should purchase. I wanted something that a beginner could use, a forgiving board, but still keep up with all the higher end boards in terms of performance. After using a bunch of different rental boards I finally got the K2. I've always been a firm believer that you get what you pay for and I certainly got my money's worth with this board.

Pros:

Board is forgiving for a beginner like me!

Great acceleration - you feel like your gliding on air. Zoom zoom

Great edges - It's very easy to turn/stop

Very versatile board (I've started doing tricks in addition to just going down the hill)

Cons:

The board comes with a laminated clear coat on the top part of the board and scratches quite easily if you aren't to careful when it comes to running into other boarders/trees/etc.

The design is simple and classy but I wish they would have offered more color choices (minor complaint though).

Definitely recommend this board for those who are serious about snowboarding, wanting a great board that you can use as a beginner and still notice an increase in the performance of the board as you increase in skill level.

Great Board

This board is great. It is fast and is easy to control even on the icy days. I am not a big park guy but I occasionally ride rails on it as well and go off the kickers and it performs just fine there as well. A+ board.
