LockJaw Adjustable Carbon/Aluminum Probe Pole

When it comes to safety gear, redundancy is huge. Having a backup that doesn't actually require you to carry more gear than you would normally can be a massive advantage. The K2 LockJaw Adjustable Carbon/Aluminum Probe Pole is a perfect example of that. A carbon upper shaft sits on top of a sturdy 7075 aluminum lower section, all connected with K2's LockJaw2 adjustment mechanism that makes things almost too easy. When your avy probe malfunctions, simply screw the two lower ski-pole shafts together to form a 200cm probe that you can use to find whatever you need buried under the snow. Hopefully it'll just be finding that case of beer you misplaced. Also included on the pole is a bubble vial inclinometer and a snow-depth ruler.
