The K2 Women's GotBack Ski has a little extra junk in its trunk (waist, actually) for added flotation in the deep stuff.

  • Bioflex 2 core (aspen, paulownia, bamboo) for light weight and tons of pop
  • Cap construction is lighter and allows K2 to dial flex into the ski more precisely
  • Triaxial braided construction adds torsional stiffness
  • Traditional camber design is super-versatile for all-mountain skiing and holds an edge better than any other camber design
  • Snow-repellent top sheet sheds snow to keep the ski light during a tour in any snow conditions
  • Tip and tail holes and flat tails give backcountry-specific versatility
  • Concave skin notch on the tail keeps your climbing skin firmly in place
  • Compatible with K2's precut skins for a perfect fit

Bottom Line: Baby GotBack.

Do you think this would be a good ski for alpine skiing swell, not just touring/backcountry? I want to be able to use them on both climbing aswell as using them in prepped slopes.

I just spent two days skiing Snowbird on this model, in-bounds: they held very well on firm snow, they floated over firm (small) bumps, and felt very stable at speed on groomers (freshly groomed and chopped up).

Yes, I just skied the 2011 model at Breckenridge in-resort and was pleasantly surprised by their sturdiness on-piste, on ice and in standard moguls.

Deciding between 160 or 167 GotBack. Wt 140 Ht 5'8"

Deciding between 160 or 167 GotBack. Wt 140 Ht 5'8" Advanced skiier - backcountry use only; multiday tours and day trips.

Currently ski 88 underfoot 167cm which has been fine in tight trees and open, pleasantly steep terrain. Need more float for deeper powder.

I would definitely not go shorter than the skis you are on now. 167 would work great
