If you like to pop the clutch on the mountain and charge hard, care for your cranium with the K2 Men’s Clutch Helmet. New for ’09 K2 used a hard shell construction to make the helmet even lighter. A washable head liner keeps the funk to a minimum, and ear liners with audio pockets make sure you can’t hear ski patrol yelling at you for cutting the rope.

Bottom Line: Don’t lose your head.

I'm a beginner snowboarder and hadn't worn a helmet before. But the better I got, the faster I was going and the harder I would bite it. So I decided to get something to protect my head.

I tried on several helmets at the resort shop, and I liked this one the best (I tried on the older model). They only had it in an ugly green color, so I went online when I got home and ordered this one.

The fit is great. The adjustable part in the back allows you to customize it to your head. It was plenty warm during the day. At the warmest part of the day I got pretty hot, so I just took it off while waiting for the lift.
