K2's flagship performance ride for making tight, fast turns on the hard stuff.

Lean deep into a turn on the K2 A.M.P Charger Ski and Marker MX12.0 and you'll undoubtedly find yourself making the sort of noises that F16s make as they approach the sound barrier. This ski and binding combo is a laser-precise package designed for slicing and dicing short and medium radius turns on hardpack and corduroy. Tip rocker makes the A.M.P. Charger ski feel smooth as silk through turn transitions, a clever dampening system quiets any chatter from crusty, sun-baked snow, and sidewall construction and metal laminate deliver powerful edge hold.

K2 was smart to pair this ski with the holding power of the Marker MX binding, because you're going to need it once you're screaming through turn after turn at speeds that will most certainly leave your friends far, far behind. The MX 12.0 binding attaches directly to the M3 binder mounting plate via the imbedded Titanal hubs and operates as an integrated system. It's adjustable up to an expert-level 12.0 DIN setting in order to provide the most precise control balanced with the highest level of safety. As you're ripping high-speed turns, the MX 12.0 utilizes Inter-Pivot Heel technology and the lightweight Triple-Pivot Comfort MX toe piece that includes a cross-mounted spring, stainless steel AFD, and backwards release function for extra safety should things to wrong.

  • Traditional camber with tip rocker (Speed Rocker)
  • Hybritech sidewall construction
  • Speed Rox technology combines a carbon fiber web with an X-shaped dampening structure
  • Aspen and paulownia wood core with a metal laminate
  • Traditional sidecut with a 16-meter turn radius (172cm)
  • Marker MX 12.0 binding included

Great for carving

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had these for 4 years now, and I like them quite a bit. Not quite a race ski when it comes to carving, but a very nice cruiser. They are great for just relaxing and cruising down the hill, but also carve great if you really want to put some effort into it.

My only complaint is that they are made in China.

A Rocket on Rails

I bought these skis last year for bombing groomers. They are the king of the corduroy. Try 89,500 vertical feet in one day atFAR. A new record! As much fun as 30cm new pow but faster.
