    Sweet Shades!

Was nervous that these would be to thick for under my bike helmet, but they fit beautifully and are extremely comfortable! I mountain bike near Seattle so there is a lot of tree cover and I bike after work near evening so I thought these might be too dark...but I just went biking in the evening in the thick pine forests in a rain storm and although they were slightly darker than ideal these incredible lenses contrasted the forest and trail expertly!. I felt more confident with them on than with my naked eye. Even with the high humidity and while sweating they did not fog while riding. Recommend these wholeheartedly!

All Climbing Seasons Under the Helmet

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

I use my Julbo Pipelines in all seasons of climbing. As an AMGA certified Single Pitch Instructor and Apprentice Rock Guide, I spend many days with my guests on sunny, hot, south facing cliffs in the summer and gaining experience for my upcoming guide courses in the bigger mountains around the country in the off seasons. My Pipelines go with me everywhere and always feel great under my helmet! This is something that can be hard to find, especially with a large head like mine. The open, flexible sides not only add some style, but help keep my face cooler in the summer months as well as adding more comfort when wearing them over or under a balaclava during the winter. The snug fit gives me confidence to go without Croakies or the like, especially when it starts to get crowded with my guests on a belay ledge high off the ground or on that next offwidth pitch as I thrutch my way upward. Versatility, comfort, functionality and longevity. If mine ever decide to wear out, I will be getting another pair!

      Clean, lightweight shades

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

These are a fantastic pair of sunglasses. I ride a lot in them, and they provide exactly what I need. The photochromic lenses provide the sharp visibility going from overcast to sunny days. They fit well and are very lightweight. The detachable sweat guard at the top has worked very well for me on hot rides.

      Pipeline Perfection

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

First off - I dropped a pair of Pipelines around 500 feet from the side of a Tepui in Venezuela. I found them on the jungle floor unscathed! From there to the New River Gorge's class V whitewater these sunnies perform.

      Key features I like:

The Fit - light and well ventilated with the open temples, and the Flex Nose customizes to my bridge size very well.

The Lenses - I love the photochromic Zebra lens! It lightens and darkens with a change in the light’s intensity which has worked well for me on the glacier, in the water and on the rock, making these ideal for a trip with mixed terrain.

Anti-Fog - I live in We(s)t Virginia and spend a good bit of time running in the summer. The integrated coating does a great job!

      Nose knows

Ouch! After a couple hours the design of the plastic nose fitting starts to really bother and then the headache begins.
They do protect from the sun and have modest light changing response.
        Would not recommend them.

        Unanswered Question

Does anyone have any feedback or experience on the Zebra vs Zebra Light lenses? I am looking at both options and not sure which way to go. I don't really want to go through the trouble of ordering both and returning one...

There's no mention of a polarized Zebra...

There's no mention of a polarized Zebra flavour on Julbo's site as far as I can tell.
Are you sure the description is correct?
