Ready for adventure.
Just because the Joules Boys' Cairn Padded Pack Away Down Jacket fits in at school doesn’t mean it should stay there. Instead, take this lightweight jacket to the mountains to explore the trails. Since it’s made from padded polyamide with two cozy pockets, it keeps him nice and toasty against cold weather conditions all day long. This jacket also has room for layering if temps drop too low and a stowable design in case things heat up.

I was so excited when Joules sent me this jacket for the little guy to try out. He had outgrown last year's and needed something for this fall. He was excited it had a rabbit on it. Hey, anything that gets him to wear it works in my book!
The jacket is a synthetic down perfect for the fall weather. Not that it's been too terribly cold here this fall, but I think it would be plenty warm should the temperatures drop. And for when it gets really cold (this is New England after all), it's thin enough that it could be layered under a heavier jacket.
The little guy loves it. It's so adorable when he puts his hands in the pockets and walks around. He's also a fan of the hood, which works great on those windy days. He's in a 3T and this jacket fits perfectly, maybe even a little large. The zipper is smooth (I know because he asks me to zip it every time). Overall the jacket seems well put together. Very high quality for a kid's jacket. It's held up to several trips to the park and climbing around and scraping against things. When he out grows it, I'm sure it will be in perfect condition to be handed down to his little brother. Many thanks again to Backcountry and Joules for selecting us to review this jacket!
